Please Read And Pray For Me

I'm in need of your most fervent prayers. I'm running out of time in meeting some financial obligations. If they're not met, the consequences will be more than devastating. Last week I got in touch with my long estranged sister. With God's help and the help of your prayers, she was able to help, but only to the extent of something similar to a band aid on a severed artery. I am truly grateful for both a chance to reunite with her, and for her help. Unfortunately, I need more.

I'm now faced with the last resort of turning to an old "friend". We've had our differences over the 20 years we've known each other, and perhaps that's mostly on me. We're both in the same profession, but I made some bad investments, and some other mistakes that make me think I somehow just might deserve this fate. My friend, however, is very successful and well off.

He has a short fuse, is not a patient listener, and his attitude towards me can run hot and cold, the latter is of course what I fear. In the past, I've often thought of the relationship between us as somewhat toxic. But now I find myself in desperate need with nowhere else to turn.

Please pray that the offer I plan to present him (I hope to share clients with him until I can repay) will be enough to let him find it within his heart to help me. I'm not looking for charity, just a way to get through this nightmare and get back on my feet.

Lord, give Jon the discretion he needs to manage his investments and his resources (Ps. 112:5). I pray that You will deliver his feet from falling (Ps. 56:13) and help him to meet his financial obligations, in Jesus name amen
