Disciple of Prayer
‎I want revelation, wisdom, knowledge and understanding about Lord Jesus Christ, about the kingdom of God, the will of God on my life, my purpose, my potential, my destiny, my Identity, and my source.

What a beautiful and godly desire you have expressed—a heart hungry for the deeper things of God! Your request for revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding about our Lord Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and His will for your life is one we wholeheartedly join you in seeking. The Scriptures tell us in **Proverbs 2:3-6 (WEB)**, *"Yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures: then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, and find the knowledge of God. For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* You are seeking what is most precious in His sight, and we praise God for stirring this hunger within you.

Yet before we proceed, we must address something vital: your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. **John 14:6 (WEB)** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*, and **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** affirms, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Every prayer, every plea for wisdom, and every search for God’s will must be rooted in the authority of Jesus’ name. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Christ alone (Romans 10:9-10). Without this foundation, all other revelations are meaningless.

Assuming you are a believer in Christ, let us press into your request with boldness. You long to know your purpose, potential, destiny, and identity—these are not trivial matters but the very things God delights to reveal to His children. **Jeremiah 33:3 (WEB)** promises, *"Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know."* Yet we must also remember that these revelations come not for our pride or self-exaltation, but for the advancement of His Kingdom and the glory of His name. **1 Corinthians 8:1 (WEB)** warns, *"Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up."* So we pray that as God grants you wisdom, it will be paired with humility, obedience, and a heart fully submitted to His will.

Your identity is found first and foremost in Christ. **2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB)** tells us, *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* You are no longer defined by the world’s standards, your past, or even your own aspirations, but by who God says you are: His child (1 John 3:1), His ambassador (2 Corinthians 5:20), and a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Your purpose is tied to His eternal plan, as **Ephesians 2:10 (WEB)** declares, *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them."*

As for your destiny and potential, these are not things to be grasped at or demanded, but received with open hands as you walk in daily surrender. **Proverbs 16:9 (WEB)** reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* Too often, we seek revelation as a roadmap to control our future, but God calls us to trust Him step by step. Your potential is unlocked not by human effort, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working through you (Zechariah 4:6). And your destiny is not a self-serving path, but one that aligns with the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39).

Now, let us pray together over these things:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the heart of this dear one, who seeks not the fleeting things of this world, but the eternal truths of Your Kingdom. Lord, we ask that You would grant them revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding—**not as the world gives, but as You give**—through the power of Your Holy Spirit. Open their eyes to see Jesus more clearly, to know Him more deeply, and to love Him more fully. Reveal to them their identity in Christ, that they may walk in the confidence of being Your beloved child, redeemed and set apart for Your purposes.

Father, show them Your will for their life. Strip away every distraction, every worldly ambition, and every false identity that would hinder them from fully embracing the call You have placed upon them. Let them not seek greatness for their own sake, but let them desire above all else to see Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Teach them to number their days (Psalm 90:12), that they may walk in wisdom and steward well the time, talents, and treasures You have entrusted to them.

Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not fully surrendered to You—any sin, any pride, any fear, or any idolatry—we ask that You would convict them by Your Spirit. Bring them to repentance, that they may be cleansed and made whole, ready to receive the fullness of what You have for them. Let them not be like those who hear Your word but do not obey it (James 1:22), but let them be doers of Your word, walking in the good works You have prepared for them.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, distraction, or deception that would seek to cloud their understanding or lead them astray. By the blood of Jesus, we break every chain of the enemy that would bind their mind, heart, or spirit from receiving Your truth. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that they may discern Your voice clearly and follow You without hesitation.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel, mentors, and brothers and sisters in Christ who will speak Your truth into their life. Let them not walk this journey alone, but let them be rooted in a community of believers who will spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

We commit this prayer to You, trusting that You hear us and that You will answer according to Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of all You have called them to be. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord for these answers, we encourage you to:
1. **Dive into Scripture daily**—God’s Word is the primary way He speaks to us. Start with the Gospels to know Jesus more, then explore the Epistles for wisdom on living out your faith.
2. **Cultivate a lifestyle of prayer**—Not just asking, but listening. Set aside time to be still before the Lord (Psalm 46:10).
3. **Seek godly mentorship**—Find mature believers who can disciple you and help you discern God’s voice.
4. **Obey what you already know**—Often, God reveals more as we are faithful with what He has already shown us (Luke 16:10).
5. **Test every revelation**—Not every thought or impression is from God. Measure everything against Scripture (1 John 4:1).

Be patient, dear one. God is not withholding good from you (Psalm 84:11). His timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Keep seeking Him with all your heart, and you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13). We are standing with you in this journey!

Dear friend, we join you in your heartfelt desire to know the Lord Jesus Christ more deeply, to understand His will for your life, and to grasp your purpose, potential, and destiny in Him. We are moved by your hunger for wisdom, revelation, and knowledge about the kingdom of God.

We pray with you, in Jesus' name, that the Father would grant you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him (Ephesians 1:17). We ask that He would open the eyes of your understanding (Ephesians 1:18), that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and the greatness of His power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19).

We pray that as you seek these things, you would also seek humility, that you may receive them in the right spirit (1 Peter 5:5-6). We ask that you would be filled with the Holy Spirit, that you may discern God's voice clearly and follow Him without hesitation (John 10:4-5).

We commit this prayer to the Lord, trusting that He hears us and will answer according to His perfect will. May His name be glorified in your life, and may you walk in the fullness of all He has called you to be. Amen.
