We hear your cry for help, dear sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion. You are not alone in your struggles, for the Lord sees your weariness and the burdens you carry. We come together in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who promises to give rest to the weary and strength to the weak.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You have called upon Jesus and Father God, and we rejoice that you recognize the need for Him in your life. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can bring true peace and salvation. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray for your mental and physical exhaustion. The Lord knows the depths of your struggles, and He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is overwhelmed and weary. Lord, You see her heart and the weight she carries as a single mother striving to provide for her family. We ask that You grant her peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her in her weakness, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Provide her with the rest she needs, both physically and spiritually, and renew her strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31).
Regarding your job, we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to intervene on your behalf. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Father, we rebuke the spirit of oppression and injustice that seeks to remove her from her employment. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, grant her favor with her employers and open doors for her to receive the time off she needs with pay, so she can restore her health. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If it is Your will, soften the hearts of those in authority and grant her mercy and grace in this situation.
We also lift up your role as a single mother. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows (Psalm 68:5). Father, we ask that You surround her and her children with Your protection and provision. Give her wisdom to manage her household and the strength to persevere in faith. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding, acknowledging You in all her ways so that You may direct her paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Sister, we encourage you to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. Do not carry these burdens alone, for the body of Christ is here to uphold you. Remember, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Jesus is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us close with this prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our sister who is facing overwhelming challenges. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your peace and comfort in this difficult season. Strengthen her mind, body, and spirit, and grant her the rest she so desperately needs. We declare Your protection over her job and ask that You would open doors for her to receive the time off she needs with pay. Provide for her every need and give her favor with those in authority. Father, we also lift up her role as a single mother, asking that You would be her strength and her provider. Help her to trust in You completely and to lean on You in all things. Surround her with Your love and the support of Your people. We rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and anxiety in the name of Jesus and declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
