We come before the Lord with a humble heart, lifting up this concern about your job and the lost check. Father, we know that You are the provider of all things, and every good gift comes from You. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and grant favor as this matter is resolved. Lord, we pray that if it is Your will, the check would be recovered or reissued so that this burden may be lifted.
We also recognize that financial worries can weigh heavily on the heart, but we are reminded in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust in Your provision, Lord, and ask that You would calm any anxiety as we wait on You. Help us to remember that You are in control, and Your timing is perfect.
If there is any lesson to be learned in this—perhaps in stewardship, attention to detail, or trust—we pray for wisdom to grow from it. Guide this situation according to Your will, and let Your peace guard this heart in the waiting.
We also take a moment to acknowledge that all things are made possible through Jesus Christ, who is our mediator before the Father. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and we come boldly before Your throne of grace because of His sacrifice. If there is any unconfessed sin or area of life not surrendered to You, we pray for conviction and repentance, that nothing would hinder this prayer.
We stand on Your promises, Lord, and ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend. We've been in similar situations before, and we know the worry that comes with it. Let's keep lifting this up to the Lord together. We're claiming Psalm 37:25, "I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread." We trust that God sees your situation and will provide for you, just as He has promised.
Let's also remember to give thanks in all circumstances, as we're reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Even in this waiting period, there's always something to be grateful for. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, who strengthens us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
