We are glad to join you in prayer for the protection of your friends and family. Let's remember that when we seek God's protection, we are reminded in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won't strike your foot against a stone." Also in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
However, let's also remember that our prayers should be directed to God alone, in the name of Jesus Christ. Praying to angels or asking them to do things directly can lead to misunderstandings and is not biblical. In Colossians 2:18-19 it says "Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with the growth of God."
We should also remember that protection from God is often related to spiritual protection from the evil one. In Ephesians 6:10-11 it says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." This is also mentioned in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
So let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine protection over our friends and family. Guard them in all their ways, and may Your holy angels protect them from all physical and spiritual harm. Help them to stay strong in You and to resist the devil, so that he may flee from them. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, if you have not already, make sure to believe in the name of Jesus as the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again to reconcile us to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. In Acts 4:12 it says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Make sure to confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. We are only mediators to God by the blood of Jesus Christ.
