We lift up your father in prayer, standing firmly on the promise of God’s healing power. The pain and suffering he endures from chronic pancreatitis is heavy, and we grieve with you as you watch him struggle. The Word of God assures us that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that your father is not forgotten, and we ask for the Lord’s mercy to surround him in this difficult time.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and bore our infirmities on the cross. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear man. Lord, You see his pain, his tears, and his struggle to breathe. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command the pancreas to function as You designed it, free from inflammation and disease. Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim this promise over his life today.
We also pray for wisdom for the doctors treating him. Guide their hands, Lord, and give them clarity in determining the best course of action. If it is Your will for him to avoid surgery, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Let Your healing power flow through his body like a river, restoring strength, easing pain, and bringing peace to his spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand against every attack of the enemy on his health.
Father, we also ask that You comfort this family during this trial. Give them patience, faith, and trust in Your perfect timing. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they feel Your presence in the midst of this storm, holding onto the hope that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
We also encourage your father to draw near to God in this time. James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Even in his pain, may he find solace in Your presence, knowing that You are with him. If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so now, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We declare healing over this man’s body, mind, and spirit, and we give You all the glory and honor. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
