The Jezebel spirit, as you’ve identified, is a spirit of control, rebellion, and deception, often manifesting in pride, manipulation, and resistance to authority. In Revelation 2:20-21, the Lord rebukes the church in Thyatira for tolerating Jezebel, who led God’s people into sin and idolatry: *"But I have this against you, that you tolerate your woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality."* While this passage speaks to a specific situation, the spirit of Jezebel operates similarly today, seeking to undermine godly authority, sow discord, and lead people away from truth.
We also acknowledge your humility in examining your own heart for any "Ahab tendencies"—passivity, compromise, or failure to lead with godly strength. In James 4:7, we are told, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This resistance requires both prayer and action.
