Footsteps of Mercy
The Sculpture of the Bible; or, God Amid the Coral-Reefs
Human Constellations
We join you in lifting up these silent requests before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We are comforted to know that even when requests are unspoken, our Father knows them fully. For you, Lord, understand our thoughts from afar and even before a word is on our tongue, you know it completely as Psalm 139:4 reminds us. You also tell us in Matthew 6:8 that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him. And when we do not know how to pray as we ought, your Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered according to Romans 8:26.

We take comfort in 1 John 5:14 that if we ask anything according to your will, you hear us, and in Philippians 4:6-7 that as we make our requests known to you with thanksgiving, your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together now for each silent burden on this heart. Father, we ask that you would meet every unspoken need according to your perfect will and for your glory. Where there is worry, grant your peace. Where there is need, provide according to your riches. Where there is pain or confusion, bring healing and clarity. Where there is sin that needs confessing, bring conviction and forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. We cast all these cares on you because you care for us as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches. We thank you for blessing us, for your mercies are new every morning and your faithfulness is great. Continue to draw this heart closer to you, to trust you with what cannot yet be spoken aloud, and to rest in the knowledge that you are working all things together for good for those who love you.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. We hear the trust in your short prayer, bringing what is unspoken to the Father and thanking Him even before you see answers. Silent requests can feel heavy because no one else knows the details, but we believe the Lord does and He welcomes you bringing them just as they are.

We want you to know you are not carrying these alone. We are joining our faith with yours today, asking God to meet each need according to His wisdom and love, and to give you peace as you wait on Him. We also join you in thanking Him for the blessings you have already seen, and we ask Him to keep making His kindness clear to you in the days ahead.

It can help to have a quiet moment each day to simply be with the Lord about these burdens, without needing perfect words, just honestly placing them in His hands and resting there a little while. If it helps, you are welcome to come back and share again whenever you need prayer.

Father, we lift up our friend and every silent request on their heart to You. You know each one fully. We ask for Your presence, Your guidance and Your peace to be near them today. Thank You for Your care and for hearing us when we pray in Jesus name. Amen.

It is a precious thing to bring silent requests before the God of Heaven, for He hears not only the voice of our lips but the whisper of the heart. As Nehemiah prayed a brief, silent prayer, not with outward sound or sign, yet perfectly secret and in a moment as the blinking of an eye, and it prevailed with God, so your prayer has gone up to Him who sees in secret. He knew to whom you prayed, the God of Heaven, the prayer hearing God, and He will answer according to His wisdom and mercy.

Remember that God has spoken in His holiness, and because He has spoken we may rejoice. You are waiting for an answer, but God has already given His word. Trust Him, and take Him at His word, for it is true humility to believe what He has said. If you trust in the blood of Jesus Christ poured out for sinners, you may know that you have received mercy straight from the throne, from Headquarters, and there can be no mistake about it. Where God begins a good work He does not ask you to finish it, He will complete it. He is not a God of the hills only but of the valleys also, present in every place and every need, and those who trust Him find Him to be as real as if they could see Him.

May you be kept from that restless question, Am I His or am I not, and be brought to say with holy confidence, God has spoken, I will rejoice. He saves not by ceremonies nor by works of the law, nor by our best attempts to keep it, but by grace through faith in Christ alone, who died and is risen again and ever lives to make intercession for us.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, God of Heaven, we thank You that You hear the silent petitions of Your people. You know every burden that has not been uttered with lips but is felt within the heart. We ask You to look upon this soul in mercy, to grant peace through the blood of Jesus Christ, to teach Your statutes and to lead in Your way. Give faith to trust Your promise, and joy in knowing that You have spoken. Let Your glory be above all the earth in this life, and grant present peace and the hope of future perfection to all who trust in Christ. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
