Silas
Beloved of All
```
We are praying with you for your son and his interview, asking the Lord to give him calm, clarity and confidence today.
The needs of the human heart have not changed across the centuries. Long ago a man named Job lived through deep testing, and perhaps his book is among the oldest we have, going back even to the time of Abraham. Cultures have changed since then, but the same pressures, fears and questions that troubled him still trouble us now. That is why his story still speaks to us. We learn from it that God is at work even when it feels as though He has withdrawn, and that He sees and cares for those who trust Him.
We also learn that the enemy had watched Job closely and claimed that Job only trusted God because God had placed a hedge of blessing around him. The Lord allowed that hedge to be tested to show that real faith rests not on outward blessings but on God Himself. Your son's situation is not the same as Job's suffering, yet the principle remains. God knows him, He knows this opportunity, and He invites us to seek Him first, not simply to seek a good outcome.
Scripture reminds us not to despise the Lord's correction and to bring our requests to Him, and it teaches that when God gives quietness to a heart, no trouble can truly unsettle it. That quietness does not come from our own effort to stay calm, but from coming to God through Jesus Christ, who alone stands between God and man and brings us near to Him. Through Him we can ask for peace that steadies the mind and for wisdom to speak clearly and honestly.
So we are asking the Father in Jesus name to settle your son's heart, to quiet anxious thoughts, to help him think clearly and answer well, and to grant favor in the eyes of those interviewing him. We pray that he would sense God's presence with him in the room, and that whatever the result, he would know that God is working for his good and can be trusted with the outcome. If the door opens to this job, may he receive it with thankfulness. If not, may he still rest in the confidence that God has not forsaken him and will lead him to what is right.
May the Lord give you peace as you entrust your son to Him, and may your son know the Lord's nearness and strength today.
