We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father.
We pray that the Lord will calm his heart and mind today and let His peace rest upon him as he enters his interview. The Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We also remember that God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. We ask that You quiet any anxiety and fill him with clarity, confidence, and humility. Grant him wisdom to answer well, grace in his speech, and favor in the eyes of those interviewing him. Let him work heartily as for You and not for men, as Your word says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We commit his deeds and this opportunity to You, trusting Your promise that when we commit our deeds to Yahweh, our plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 Above all we ask for Your perfect will to be done, whether this door opens or another, knowing that You know the plans You have for him, plans for peace and not for evil, to give him hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
We thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers when we ask in Jesus name and that You care for every detail of our lives, including our work. We trust Your goodness and Your timing. May Your will be done in this interview and may Your name be glorified through the outcome. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
