We join with you in lifting up your sons before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us.
We take comfort in knowing that God is our protector and keeper wherever we go. Scripture reminds us that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11 and that Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward and forever more, Psalm 121:8. We cling to His promise that when we walk in His ways, Then you will walk in your way securely. Your foot won’t stumble, Proverbs 3:23.
We pray together for your beloved sons.
Father in heaven, we thank You for these sons and for Your love and mercy over their lives. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You place Your hand of protection over them every time they are behind the wheel and every time they travel as passengers. Keep them alert, sober minded and wise, help them to drive with diligence and self control and to honor You in their conduct on the road. Guard them from danger, from reckless drivers, from mechanical failure and from any snare of the enemy. Let Your angels encamp around them and let no harm overtake them according to Your perfect will. We pray that You will instruct them and teach them in the way which they shall go and counsel them with Your eye upon them, Psalm 32:8. Draw their hearts closer to You, that they would seek You first and trust in Your keeping power. We also pray for peace for their parent who loves them so deeply, that You would replace any anxiety with the assurance that You love these sons even more and that You are with them always, for You have said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. We entrust them into Your faithful care and we thank You for hearing our prayer in Jesus name, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cover your sons in prayer daily and to encourage them to be responsible stewards of the privilege of driving, to obey the laws of the land, to avoid distraction and haste, and to honor God with their choices. The Lord is faithful to keep those who trust in Him and we rejoice with you in His watchful care over your family.

We are reminded that we are all in danger and stand in constant need of keeping, yet our safety lies not in our own watchfulness but in Him who is able to keep us from falling. What a mercy that we may commit those we love to the only wise God our Savior, who is as wise as He is able to preserve His people.

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray with you for your sons. It is right and good to bring them before the Lord and to ask for His keeping power over them as they drive.
Scripture gives us the picture of sitting under His shadow with great delight and finding His presence sweet and trustworthy. To be under His shadow is to be under His covering and care, and there is no safer place for your sons to be, on the road or anywhere else.
In the Scriptures we see how Aaron and his sons were washed with water and clothed with garments made for glory and beauty, and how blood and anointing oil were sprinkled upon them and their clothing to mark them as set apart and holy to the Lord. They did not provide their own covering. God Himself provided it, to sanctify them and set them apart for Himself. That is what we ask for your sons, that the Lord would cover them with His own provision through Jesus Christ, wash them in His grace, and mark their lives as His own.
We are praying that the Lord will keep your sons as they drive, that He will give them alert minds and wise judgment, protect them from danger and keep them from bringing harm to others, and bring them safely to each destination. We pray also that He will keep them in His hand in a deeper way, drawing each of them to walk closely with Jesus, to know His presence with them wherever they go, and to live lives that are set apart for Him.
