Please pray

We join you in giving thanks for the grace of the Lord and we bring your requests before Him with you.

We pray for His protection over you as you drive, that He would grant you watchfulness, wisdom and safety on the road, and keep you and those around you from harm. We pray also for the silent requests you hold in your heart. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to God, and we ask that He would answer according to His perfect wisdom, mercy and will, and grant you peace as you trust Him.

May the Lord guide your steps, guard your going out and your coming in, and deepen your confidence in His care through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your request and for your thankful heart for the grace of the Lord. We join you in prayer and bring your needs before the Father in the name of Jesus.

Scripture reminds us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Worry does nothing to solve a problem, but prayer places it in the hands of the One who can. That includes the silent requests you carry. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to Him, and we ask Him to meet each one according to His wisdom and love.

We also pray for your protection as you drive. The Lord Himself wants to be your shield and your exceeding great reward, your fortress and place of strength. The psalm speaks of dwelling in the secret place of the Most High and finding shelter under His wings, and of His truth being a shield and protection against the snares of the enemy. Jesus Himself used the truth of God's Word as that shield. Proverbs tells us the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe, and we have found that simply calling on the name of Jesus brings refuge in times of danger or threat.

True safety is found in abiding in Him. Like the cities of refuge in the Old Testament, where a person was safe as long as he remained within the borders, we are kept safe as we remain in Christ. He is our protection, not only on the road but in every storm of life. Even when the journey is long and difficult and the winds are contrary, God is present and His hand guides, and He is able to bring us safely through.

So we pray now, Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your grace that saves and keeps us. We ask for Your hand of protection over every mile traveled. Grant alertness, wisdom and calm, and keep from all harm and from the snare of the enemy. Guard this dear one under the shadow of Your wings and let Your truth be a shield. We lift up every silent request before Your throne, asking that You would answer according to Your perfect will and grant the peace that guards the heart. We trust You as both Protector and Provider, our shield and our great reward. In Jesus name, Amen.
