Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in giving thanks to God for His grace given to us in Jesus Christ, and we bring your silent requests before Him with you. Scripture teaches us to let our requests be made known to God with thanksgiving, and there is nothing so pleasing to Him as a thankful heart. He knows what you have not spoken aloud, and He hears the prayers offered in the name of His Son.
We thank Him that grace is His free gift, not from our works, and that He has shown His love toward us by giving His Son for us while we were still far off. That grace saves those who willingly receive it, and it also calls us to live in a way that honors Him, withdrawing from what does not please Him and walking in what does. As we give thanks for what He has already done, we also ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, to guard your heart and thoughts with His peace which passes all understanding, and to work all things for your good even when you cannot yet see how.
We pray that you would continue to offer thanksgiving in all things, not only in words but in a life that seeks to please Him, trusting that He who has begun a good work will be faithful to complete it. May the Lord answer your silent requests according to His wisdom and love, strengthen you by His grace, and keep you in Christ Jesus.
In Jesus name, Amen.
