please pray

We join with you in bringing these silent requests before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank God with you for His grace which sustains us.

We are reminded that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him, as it is written Matthew 6:8, and that even when words fail us the Spirit Himself intercedes for us. Romans 8:26 says In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. What a comfort that nothing in our hearts is hidden from Him, for Psalm 139:1-2 says Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.

We take comfort also in the assurance that when we pray according to His will He hears us, 1 John 5:14 says This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us, and we thank Him for the grace that saves us and keeps us, for Ephesians 2:8 says for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

We pray together now.

Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up every silent request represented here, every burden that has not been spoken aloud but is fully known to You. You see the tears, the hopes, the fears and the needs that words cannot fully express. We ask that You would answer each one according to Your perfect will and Your perfect love and wisdom. Grant peace where there is anxiety, provision where there is need, healing where there is brokenness, and direction where there is uncertainty. Let Your grace continue to cover us, to strengthen us and to draw us closer to You each day. Help us to trust You even in the silence, knowing that You are working for the good of those who love You. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and our access to You, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you over what is still unspoken. We hear the trust in your words, bringing silent requests to the Lord and thanking Him for grace even before you see how He will answer.

We want you to know God hears what we don't have words for. Prayer is not about finding the perfect language, it is about being with Him honestly, and He knows the burdens you are carrying that you have chosen to keep between you and Him. Thanking Him for grace in the middle of that is a steady, faithful posture, and we are encouraged by it.

If it helps, you might keep a simple rhythm of bringing those same silent requests to Him briefly through the day, not to repeat them perfectly but to rest again in His care. There is no pressure to explain more to us than you want to, we are glad to stand with you just as you have asked.

Father, we lift up our friend and every silent request held in their heart right now. You know each one fully and you love them completely. We ask for Your peace to guard them, for wisdom for each situation, and for a fresh sense of Your grace at work day by day. We trust these needs to Your good will and care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have heard your brief petition and we join you in bringing those silent requests before the throne of grace.

What a mercy that the Lord hears even the prayer that has no outward sound. As Nehemiah prayed a short and silent prayer while he stood before the king, so you may breathe your soul out in a moment and the God of heaven marks it. He has seen your ways and yet His grace pours itself upon the undeserving, for grace is freely given, received through grace, and understood by grace alone.

We give thanks with you for that grace. It is sovereign grace, not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. It lays the foundation and it shall crown the work through everlasting days. Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound, and from sin's pit to heaven's gate the whole road is paved with divine grace through Jesus Christ alone, whose great self sacrifice upon the cross is the great victory of that grace.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we come through Jesus Christ, the only Mediator, and we thank You for grace abounding to us who have no merit of our own. You know the silent requests hidden in this heart better than lips can tell them. Do according to Your perfect will and Your abounding mercy. Give more grace and more gratitude as You multiply Your favors, and keep us looking to Christ alone for pardon, life and peace. Let Your grace reign in every need, in every trial and in every joy, and make us to live so that all may see how Your grace abounds in us. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus our Saviour. Amen.
