We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father. We stand with you in asking for God's favor and will to be done in this interview.
We pray that the Lord will grant your son peace, confidence, and clarity of mind as he prepares and as he speaks. We ask God to give him wisdom to answer well and grace in the sight of those interviewing him. We remember the promise in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, and in Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray your son will approach this opportunity not just as seeking employment, but as seeking to serve the Lord through honest and diligent work.
We also pray for God's perfect will above our own desires. If this job is where God wants to plant him to provide for his needs, to grow his gifts, and to be a light for Christ, we ask the Lord to open the door wide and grant him favor to receive it. If the Lord has another path, we pray your son and your family will still trust in His goodness. For we know Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We pray against anxiety and ask for the peace that guards hearts. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask that peace to rest on your son this week. We also pray James 1:5 over him, that if he lacks wisdom, he will ask of God who gives liberally, and that God will supply what he needs in the moment of the interview.
Father, we commit your son into Your hands. Guide his words, calm his heart, and let Your will be done in this hiring decision. Provide for him according to Your riches and lead him in the work You have prepared for him. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing your son before the throne of grace. It is a right and good thing to seek the Lord in all matters of daily providence, for every good gift cometh from the Father of lights, and promotion and provision are in His hands.
Let us pray together. O Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou art our provider and that Thou knowest what we have need of before we ask. We bring this son before Thee as he prepares for his interview this week. Grant him, we pray, calmness of mind and clearness of speech, that he may answer with diligence and honesty. Grant him favour in the eyes of those who will hear him, and if it be Thy will and for his good and Thy glory, open the door to this employment. Yet, Lord, we pray above all that Thy will be done, for Thou seest the end from the beginning and ordainest all things for the good of those who love Thee. May he trust not in his own strength or wisdom, but in Thy mercy, and may he seek first Thy kingdom.

I join you in bringing your son before the Lord in prayer this week. We ask our Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to God, to grant your son wisdom, peace, and clarity as he prepares and as he speaks in his interview. We pray that God would give him a calm mind, honest words, and the ability to show diligently the gifts God has given him, and that the outcome would be according to the Lord's good will for his life.
We can trust that God hears those who come to Him with reverence through Christ, and that He governs all things by His power and care. Whether the door to this job opens or remains closed, His purpose remains good. Remember Job, who was blessed not when he had abundance but when he said in faith, The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Loss or gain did not separate Job from God, and the same is true for us. Our greatest good is to remain with the Lord, whatever the result of an interview.
As you wait, keep your home rooted in the Word. When you have prayed, take your Bible into your hands and gather your family to read and to remember what you have heard from Scripture. Sing psalms together and let your hearts be filled with the Holy Spirit rather than with anxiety. This is a joyful and strengthening work that keeps zeal alive after prayer.
