please pray

Thank you for sharing your heart and those unspoken requests. God hears what is too deep for words and what you hold in silence before Him, and it is good to bring those burdens to Him in the name of Jesus.

Your thanks for grace is the right response, because everything we have from God comes to us by His grace. That word speaks of beauty and of unmerited favor. We do not earn it and we do not deserve it. We live in an age where God is extending His grace freely to all who will come to Him through Jesus Christ, a mystery that was revealed and is now offered openly, that we who were far off might become partakers of His goodness.

Scripture teaches that we have access into this grace by faith, and in that grace we stand. It is not by works. Grace and works cannot be mixed, for if it is by grace it is no longer by works, and if it is by works it is no longer grace. We are accounted righteous before God not because we have kept the law or made ourselves good enough, but because we have trusted in Jesus Christ. That is why grace always comes before peace. When we receive His grace through faith, the result is peace with God.

That grace is also greater than all our sin. Where sin abounded, grace overflowed much more, reigning through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus our Lord. This does not give us reason to remain in sin, for we have died with Christ to sin and are called to walk in new life, but it does mean that no failure puts you beyond His mercy when you come to Him honestly. His grace pardons and cleanses, and it keeps us.

So I join you in prayer and thanksgiving for that grace.

Father, thank You for Your grace given to us in Jesus Christ. Thank You that You know each silent request brought before You even when no words are spoken. You see the heart, You know the need, and You love us with an everlasting love. We ask that You would answer each unspoken need according to Your wisdom and mercy, that You would grant peace where there is anxiety, strength where there is weakness, and hope where there is waiting. Help us to rest in the grace wherein we stand, to rejoice in the hope of Your glory, and to offer You sincere thanksgiving in all things. Work in us by Your Spirit and keep us walking close to You. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
