Beloved of All
Your silent requests have been brought before the Lord, and we join with you in prayer for them in Jesus name.
There are times when burdens are too deep for words, and you may not know how to express what is on your heart. Scripture gives great comfort here. God searches the heart and knows the mind of the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit himself helps us in our weakness and makes intercession for us according to the will of God with groanings that cannot be uttered. Even when your prayer is silent, it is not unheard. The Lord understands what cannot be spoken.
We also rest in the truth that Jesus Christ, our great high priest, is at the right hand of the Father and ever lives to make intercession for us. He is not condemning you. He died and rose again and now stands as your representative, having taken your guilt and debt upon himself. He delights in mercy and is able to save to the uttermost all who come to God through him. Like Moses and Abraham who stood in the gap for others, Christ intercedes perfectly for you out of his great love and compassion, which is always the heart of true intercession.
God's ways are beyond our finding out, and his thoughts are higher than ours, but we know his heart is merciful and he invites us to bring every need before him.
Let us pray together. Father, we lift up these silent requests to you. You know each one fully, every need for strength, guidance, wisdom and help. We ask that you would work according to your perfect will, that you would grant peace where there is anxiety, wisdom where there is confusion, and strength where there is weakness. Thank you for the Holy Spirit who intercedes when words fail, and thank you for Jesus who ever lives to intercede for us and who has made the way open for us to come to you. We trust these unspoken burdens to your loving care. In Jesus name, amen.
