We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you in lifting up your family before the throne of grace. Your prayer, though brief, carries the weight of silent burdens we may not fully understand, but God does. We join you in seeking His protection, provision, and peace over every member of your household.
The Bible assures us that "The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; the righteous run to him and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). In Jesus’ name, we declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask the Lord to station His angels around your home to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11). For those silent requests, we trust that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26), and we pray that God’s perfect will be done in every unspoken need.
We also encourage you to bring these requests before the Lord daily, laying them at His feet with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). Even in silence, He hears the cries of your heart. We take comfort that the Lord hears even the brief, silent prayer. As Nehemiah prayed silently before the king, so secretly that Artaxerxes standing within a yard of him did not know it, yet the King of heaven heard it and answered, so the Lord hears those silent requests which you have not uttered with lips but have poured out before Him in the heart. He who knows the thoughts afar off will not mock His children but will give good and perfect gifts according to His wisdom and love. Be encouraged to use this method of brief, silent prayer always, on the spot, and to check the heart and stay the soul upon God in every moment of need.
For your family, we entreat the Lord's keeping. Scripture assures us that He gives His angels charge over His people to keep them in all their ways, and this protection is perpetual as well as personal for those who walk in the King's highway and keep to His appointed ways. As He entered into covenant with Noah and preserved him and his family alive in the ark, so He is able to preserve your household. Let family prayer be maintained as the nutriment of family piety and the castle of the home, for where Christ is honored in the house, there is safety under His wing. May the Lord exalt the lowly, guard the little ones, and watch over the older ones, that all within your walls may be found walking in the truth.
