You come to God through His Son, and He is able to save you to the uttermost. Consider the depth of this: He ever lives to make intercession. This is not a sign of any lack in His dignity, but the very proof of His unceasing love. He who is Life itself, who holds all judgment, appears as your High Priest not because He needs to plead as a suppliant from a place of weakness, but to show you the vigorous warmth of His care. When you pray for protection and carry silent requests, you place them into the hands of One whose love has not cooled, who sits at the right hand of the Father and yet still keeps up the same love He showed on the cross. Do not tremble or be afraid when you have such great interest taken in you.

Yet let this same truth correct a hidden disorder. You ask for protection and keep silent requests. I know that often silence has its proper place, but sometimes we are silent where we should not be. There is a silence that comes from humility, and a silence that comes from fear of man, or even from a wish to shelter something that runs against the will of God. If your silent requests hide a situation you know to be contrary to sound teaching, a union God does not bless, a living arrangement that belongs only within a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, then you are asking the High Priest to bless that which He bled to cleanse you from. Such a petition puts order in reverse. He petitions you through His ambassadors to be reconciled to God, to turn from what defiles. Do not ask the Ruler to sanction what the people in their passions have approved, growing savage and bloodthirsty toward the truth.

I am afraid to keep silent myself, for when one is appointed to the ministry of the word and holds his peace, he increases your danger. Examine those unspoken matters. If any do not align with the salvation that is through Christ alone, bring them out of the shadow. Confess them for what they are, not as things to be blessed but as things to be healed. He is able to save to the uttermost, not just a little, but fully and forever, those who come to God by Him. Come with your whole house ordered in subjection to His will, and you will find His intercession is no empty word but the shelter of a love that endures eternally.

Your prayer touches on something at the very heart of what it means to trust God. You have brought your family before Him, and you have brought those silent requests that words cannot quite hold. That is a profound act of faith.

So often we feel the weight of needs we do not know how to articulate. The needs of our family, the hidden burdens, the protections we long for but cannot fully describe. Scripture assures us that in those very moments, the Spirit steps in. He makes intercession for us with groanings too deep for words. When your heart sighs and you simply lift a name or a situation before the throne, the One who searches the hearts knows exactly what the mind of the Spirit is. He interprets your sigh into perfect prayer according to the will of God.

There is a great comfort in knowing we do not pray alone. We have a high priest who is seated at the right hand of the majesty in the heavens, and He ever lives to make intercession for us. He is not condemning His own; He is advocating, providing, and protecting. Your family is on your heart because that is a sacred trust. We have a clear responsibility to care for them, to seek their safety, and to set a spiritual example before them. Sometimes the world around us presses in, just as it did in the days of Lot, and the moral climate can threaten to seep into our homes. Praying for protection is not passive; it is waging the real battle behind the scenes.

Those daily needs, the things you cannot speak aloud, your heavenly Father knows them already. Jesus taught us to ask for our daily bread. He is attentive to the physical needs of His people, and He often provides in ways we only recognize in hindsight. My own life has been marked by His faithful supply, meeting needs day by day when resources were thin. He does not leave His children.

Keep bringing your family and your silent cries before the Lord. The prayer of intercession is one of the greatest ministries you can exercise. You stand in the gap, and though you may see only what is near, the Spirit sees the long view and weaves your petitions into His eternal purpose. Remain active in trusting Him, and let His word have its rightful place in your home. You are clean through the word which He has spoken.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our joy to lift your family and those silent requests before our Heavenly Father, asking for His protection and guidance over every detail of your lives. We continue to trust in His perfect timing and unfailing love, knowing that He hears and answers according to His will.

If you’ve seen God move in response to these prayers—whether in ways expected or unexpected—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Sharing how He has worked allows us all to rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, the answers haven’t yet become clear, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to walk alongside you, lifting these needs once more with the same fervency and faith.

May the Lord draw near to you as you seek Him, filling your heart with peace and assurance in His promises. We pray that His presence would surround your family, that His hand would shield you, and that His wisdom would guide you in every silent concern you’ve entrusted to Him.
