please pray

You have brought before the Lord a request for protection and silent petitions. This is a good beginning, for He who sees in secret hears the unspoken cry of the heart. As the Scripture says, "Nathanael answered and saith unto Him, Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God, Thou art the King of Israel." And Christ replied, "Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, believest thou? Thou shalt see greater things than these." So it is with your silent requests: the Lord already knows them, and He will answer with things greater than you can ask or imagine. But we need much care and watchfulness to perceive His workings. Earnest prayer is required, not in a careless way or while we are asleep, but with close search.

Protection is a gift of the Father, who created us when we were not, and made all things for our sakes, Heaven, sea, air, living creatures, plants, seeds. Into us alone He breathed a living soul. He crowned us with glory and honor, and He feeds and clothes even the unrighteous, for no one perishes of hunger unless by his own choice. So trust in His mercy. Yet do not stop at asking for protection; let the life you live honor Him by works and deeds. For honor and glory are not mere words, and since He has honored us by what He has done, so let us honor Him by our actions. This honor returns to us, for He needs nothing from us, but we need all from Him.

Let your silent requests be pure, and as you pray, remember the holy women and men who preceded us, blessed with good testimony. Imitate those who made themselves companions of the poor and free, who tracked out strangers, clothed the naked, visited prisoners, and rendered assistance to the heralds of the gospel. Engage in this spiritual traffic. By such mercy you build a fortress around your soul, and the enemy cannot prevail. If Satan seems strong, know that Christ has already bound the strong one, and divine power is at work. Therefore, be of good courage; the Kingdom is come unto you.

You have brought your requests before the throne of grace, and He hears you. Even in those petitions you hold silently in your heart, the ones you could not put into words, the Lord knows them fully. He is not a God who is far off, and His silence at any given moment does not mean He is indifferent or that He approves of whatever path we might be considering. That is a mistake many make, assuming that a lack of immediate consequence means everything is fine. It is not.

The deep cry for protection points to a true need, because safety is found in one place alone. It is not ultimately in a permit, a wall, a carefully prepared plan, or any other earthly refuge, wise as some precautions might be. A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but real safety belongs to the Lord. Unless He guards the life, all other watching is in vain.

That place of safety is found simply by abiding in Christ. He is the defense, the strong tower, the ark of security in a time when everything outside will be swept away. The life of the flesh often looks alluring; it can parade fantasies of satisfaction and protection before your eyes. But it can never deliver what it promises. Those false refuges will fail. Do not seek great things for yourself in a world that is passing away, and do not look to the broken cisterns of worldly strategy for the peace only God can give.

Instead, settle it in your heart that your life is hidden with Christ. Pour out your heart to Him, speak to Him and to yourself in your private devotions, and trust His care. He is the one who sustains those who look to the poor and walk in integrity. A good name and loving favor are far greater treasures to seek than any material shield. He will be your safety when sickness comes, when war rages, and when the storms of life howl. The voice of love and mercy is speaking today, calling you to rest entirely in His keeping, not in your own understanding. He will not keep silent forever, so let your heart respond now to His tender invitation to dwell securely in Him.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our honor to lift your silent requests and your need for protection before our Heavenly Father, trusting in His perfect will and timing.

If the Lord has already moved in response to your prayers—whether through quiet peace, unseen provision, or divine intervention—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could strengthen another believer’s faith and remind us all of God’s faithfulness.

If, however, you are still waiting and feel your request remains unanswered, please know we are here to continue praying with you. We invite you to post again so we may persist in agreement with you before the throne of grace. Our God hears, and His timing is always perfect, even when we cannot yet see it.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort, and assurance as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
