My ### of 14 years confessed he had someone else and kicked me and his daughters out the home that belongs to his family and he doesn't pay child support ! Please help me through this time on how to make more income and become successful. I really need this help It broke me and still has hate for me how is that possible

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in this painful and unjust season. What has been done to you and your daughters is grievous, betrayal, abandonment, and financial neglect are not the ways of Christ. The Bible tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" What your husband has done is not only a breaking of his covenant with you but a direct violation of God’s design for marriage and family. We rebuke the spirit of hardness in his heart and pray that the Lord would convict him deeply, leading him to repentance and restoration if it be His will.

We also stand against the injustice of his refusal to provide for his children. Scripture is clear in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." This is not just a financial failure, it is a spiritual one. We pray that the Lord would move in his heart to fulfill his God-given responsibility, and if he will not, that the Lord would raise up provision for you and your daughters in miraculous ways.

Your pain is valid, and your anger is understandable. But we must guard your heart against bitterness, for it will only harm you further. Hebrews 12:15 warns, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." We pray that God would heal your wounds and replace your hurt with His peace, even as you walk through this valley.

As for your financial needs, we believe the Lord is your provider. Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We pray that He would open doors of opportunity for you, whether through employment, education, or creative means, that you may increase in income and stability. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Seek Him first, and He will guide your steps.

We also encourage you to seek wise counsel, whether through your church, legal aid, or trusted believers who can help you navigate child support and custody matters. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."

Most importantly, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ, for He is the only way to true peace and salvation. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Acts 4:12 also declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray that you would do so today, for He alone can heal your broken heart and restore what has been stolen.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this precious sister and her daughters. Lord, You see the injustice they have endured, and You are a God who defends the widow and the fatherless. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, softening her husband’s heart, bringing conviction where there is hardness, and providing for every need. Father, we rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack, and we declare that You are her provider. Open doors of opportunity, give her wisdom in her finances, and surround her with godly counsel.

Lord, heal her heart from the pain of betrayal. Replace bitterness with Your peace, anger with forgiveness, and despair with hope. Strengthen her faith as she walks through this trial, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted. We pray for her daughters, that they would feel Your love and protection over them, and that they would grow in wisdom and grace despite this hardship.

Father, if she does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that she would turn to Jesus today. May she find in Him the strength, comfort, and eternal hope that only He can give. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We ache with you over what you’re carrying right now. Being told by your partner of 14 years that he’s with someone else, and then having to leave the home you shared, all while caring for your daughters, that’s an avalanche of loss all at once. And the confusion of carrying your own pain while also facing his continued bitterness must feel so disorienting. It makes sense that you’re feeling broken. That is not weakness; it’s a normal response to being deeply wronged.

What you’ve named about wanting to make more income and build stability for your family, that’s a focus we can really honor. These early days of upheaval often feel like they’ll never end, and making even one small, tangible move can begin to break that weight. It might be something as simple as sitting down with a trusted friend who works in budgeting or job placement, or exploring local community programs that help single parents with career training. You don’t need to have the whole path mapped out; just one step this week, something you can point to and say, “I did that.” That builds a little bit of confidence for the next one.

We also want to gently name that alongside the practical need for income, your heart is carrying a deep wound from this betrayal. The hate he still carries likely has very little to do with you and everything to do with what’s broken inside him, but that explanation doesn’t stop the sting. Over time, your own healing will matter far more than understanding him. Finding a safe group, maybe a divorce recovery group at a local church, or even one other woman who has walked this road, can keep you from having to process everything alone.

We’re praying with you now. Lord, you see this mom and her daughters tonight. Provide the steady income she needs, the right doors for work, and better hours so she can care for her family. Guard her heart from despair and from taking on the blame that isn’t hers to carry. Surround her with people who show up practically and don’t just offer words. Give her one concrete step this week that she can take toward building a new life. We ask this in Jesus’ name.

It is well that you have cried out, for the Lord hearkens to the broken in heart. The treachery you have suffered, the casting out from your home, the cruel weight of providing for daughters without aid, these are blows that make the spirit faint. Yet remember, the bones which God hath broken shall rejoice. Not merely grow quiet, not merely become callous and indifferent, but rejoice! So bring your poor, shattered heart to the heart that was pierced by the soldier’s spear. Jesus died of a broken heart; He knows your desolation perfectly. There is sweetest rest in Him, even in the midst of this tempest.

You ask how the one who wronged you can hate you still. Ah, sin makes the heart a raging sea. When a man’s wall is broken down, all his thoughts go astray; he is open to every mischief. Do not look too long upon that broken human pillar; it is a broken column indeed, and if you lean on it, it will pierce your hand. Look rather to Him who was hated without a cause, that you might learn to commit your vindication to the Judge of all. Beware lest your own heart become divided, nursing a root of bitterness while professing trust in Christ. A divided heart is a guilty heart, and it will miss the blessing.

Your need for income and success is pressing, but what is success in the light of eternity? Let the love of God be shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Ghost; then you will laugh at impossibilities. Seek first the kingdom, guard the stone wall of sound doctrine and holy character, and He who feedeth sparrows will not forget your household. Do not fall into the snare of saying, “I will follow Christ, but, ” as though His provision depended on the restoration of your earthly comforts. The very breaking of your earthly hopes is meant to drive you to the one unfailing righteousness, even that which God freely provides to every believer.

I know what despair means, and how it crouches at the door of the emptied heart. But I pray that this pricking in your heart may go deeper still, that it may become a saving wound, piercing in the heart, not merely cutting at the surface. When heart and flesh fail, God is yet the strength of your heart and your portion forever. Let the brokenness yield contrition, and contrition yield to faith, until, with the united heart of a child, you find that He binds up your wounds and makes your very bones to sing.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The treachery you have suffered is like a dark mirror of what our Lord endured from Judas. That man was counted among the twelve, daily sharing bread and the Master's company, yet for thirty pieces of silver he betrayed Him with a kiss. So this man, after fourteen years of sharing your table and home, has cast you and his own daughters out, and withholds even the bare duty of support. Do not be bewildered that bitterness has taken root in his heart toward you. It is the way of sin that the wrongdoer often hates the one he has injured; vice is a tyrant that turns a man against his own household, setting him at war with nature itself. The love of money, or some other foul passion, has made him drunk, and a drunken man lashes out at those who remind him of his shame.

But look to Christ! He knew beforehand that Judas would come with the priests' swords and staves, yet He did not flee; He went to meet him, calling him still "friend," offering His cheek to the traitor's lips. His gentleness was designed to pierce that hardened soul. So I say to you: do not return hate for hate, nor let the poison of resentment consume you. Mourn for this man as for one gravely ill, who refuses the Physician's care. That lament is itself a healing medicine, both for your own soul and perhaps, in time, for his. Many who seem deaf to ten admonitions are finally brought low by one, and then bear abundant fruit. So pray for him, that the spell of his greed may be broken before it drags him to that woe which is worse than if he had never been born.

As for your need to increase your income and become successful, do not set your heart on the vulgar glory for which the multitude clamors. That kind of success is the mother of avarice and envy, making men unstable and without natural affection. Seek instead the true wealth that comes from almsgiving and virtue, which like a loving mother sets your life in good order, frees you from anxiety, and gives you a quiet spirit. God sees the injustice done to you and your daughters; He who commanded that parents be honored will not ignore the one who despises his own flesh. Your present poverty, borne with patience, is more precious before Him than the proud man's plenty. He raises up the humble and fills the hungry with good things.

Take upon yourself the sacred task of raising these daughters in the fear of the Lord, not in the bitterness of this wound. Be to them an example of unshaken faith, that they may learn to despise no one, but to pity even the man who wronged them. The friendship of Jonathan for David shows that true love does not envy when another is lifted up; it sacrifices even life itself. So sacrifice your thirst for revenge on the altar of patient endurance. The Lord who turned Joseph's betrayal into the salvation of Egypt can turn this desolation into a path of unexpected provision. Rise, then, from this blow, and go to meet the days ahead with the same resolve with which Christ went forth to meet His betrayer. The kingdom and its righteousness are yours to seek; the rest will be added.
