The heart can pour itself out before God without a single word spoken, and He hears every syllable of that silent cry. When you come to the Father in Jesus' name with those requests known only to you, you are not aiming words at a distant ceiling. Our Father who art in heaven is a warm, personal, close address. He inclines His ear to the unuttered groaning that words cannot wrap around.
Sometimes we wonder why answers do not come at once. When there is a delay, it is not neglect. It is often because God, in His perfect wisdom, is working out purposes far larger than the immediate need. He may be shaping our own hearts to receive what He intends to give, or aligning us with His will rather than simply granting our desire. The silence does not mean nothing is happening. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous heart accomplishes much, even when that fervency is a quiet, sustained ache in the secret place.
As you continue bringing your petitions, do not let the weight of request crowd out the sweetness of simply knowing Him. It is right to ask for daily bread, forgiveness, guidance, and deliverance. But prayer is complete when it moves into the rest of praise. Thanking Him for who He is, rehearsing His promises back to Him, and worshiping Him, brings an intimacy that pure petition can never reach. Often, when we begin to give thanks, we find the peace that passes understanding settles in before the tangible answer ever arrives.
Know that you are not alone in your asking. The same Spirit who searches the deep things of God intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. So rest there. Your silent requests are held in the hands of a Father who has proven His love by giving His Son. He has promised to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. You can trust Him.
