please pray

You bring your son before the Heavenly Father, asking driving protection, and you offer silent requests in the Name of Jesus. This is good, for He alone upholds all things by the word of His power. Yet take care that your trust for safety rests not on a chariot or human skill, as those who in Noah’s day ate and drank in careless ease until sudden destruction came. True protection is found in committing all to God’s will, not in demanding reasons for His appointments. He who sees the light of this world is in safety, but far more he who remains with Christ. Your silent prayers He knows, for the Spirit reveals all things; but let your silence not be a cloak for a life bare of holy deeds. If we possess all faith and knowledge yet lack the protection of right living, nothing hinders our ruin. Entrust your son to the Good Shepherd, whose pasture is eternal safety, and none can thrust him out. Let your own walk be as bright as your doctrine, that you may sail in peace through life’s storms, committing yourself to the ship of faith with Christ as your steersman.

Your heart for your son, asking the Father for driving protection and carrying silent requests to His throne in Jesus’ name, reflects the very love God has placed in a parent. When Scripture draws us to Abraham taking his only son Isaac, the son he loved, and being willing to offer him, it points toward a far greater act: God the Father giving His only begotten Son for us. That sacrificial love assures you that the One who did not spare His own Son will also watch over your son with attentive, fatherly care.

Think of how God saw Leah’s affliction and heard her cry; He named her sons as witnesses that He listens. Your quiet, unspoken prayers are not hidden from Him either. He knows every concern you carry, just as David’s love never wavered for Absalom even in rebellion. Our Heavenly Father corrects, protects, and holds His children. You can rest in the truth that through Jesus, the Son of God, you have been adopted into the family and can cry “Abba, Father.” The Spirit intercedes for us when words fall short.

As you pray, ask that your son would incline his heart to wisdom, that his driving would be marked by prudence rather than reckless speed. But ultimately, entrust him to the Father’s safe hands, knowing that the Son who reveals the Father to us is the same Son who intercedes for your son. May the peace of Christ settle your spirit as you remember that the Father gave His Son for you and will not fail to care for your son.
