We lift up your son before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of dissatisfaction and uncertainty he carries. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who gives strength to the weary and direction to the lost. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Lord, we ask that You would make Your path clear to him, that he may walk in the way You have prepared for him.
We also rebuke the spirit of discontentment and anxiety that seeks to rob him of peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Father, let this peace flood his heart as he surrenders his career and personal life into Your hands. Help him to see his work as an opportunity to serve You, whether it is where he stays or where You lead him next.
We pray for wisdom to fill his mind, that he may discern Your will in every decision. James 1:5 assures us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, grant him clarity and courage to step forward in faith, trusting that You hold his future. Surround him with godly counsel and encouragement, that he may be strengthened in his walk with You.
If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that Your Holy Spirit would draw him near. There is no true peace or purpose outside of a relationship with You, for Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Let him know the freedom and joy that comes from surrendering his life to You.
We stand in the gap for him, declaring that You are his Provider, his Guide, and his Strength. May he find his identity and worth in You alone, and may his steps be ordered by Your Word. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
