We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your cry has not gone unnoticed by the Lord. The weariness of unanswered prayers, the weight of bitterness, and the longing for change are heavy burdens to carry alone. But we stand with you now, lifting your heart before the throne of grace, where mercy and help are found in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
First, let us address the matter of your faith. You mentioned that you stopped praying and believing because nothing positive seemed to happen. Yet Scripture tells us, *"Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him"* (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is not merely believing that God *can* act—it is trusting that He *is* acting, even when we cannot see it. The enemy would love for you to abandon prayer, for it is in prayer that we align our hearts with God’s will and invite His power into our circumstances. Do not let disappointment harden your heart, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
You carry hate in your heart toward family members who pretend to love one another. This is a heavy burden, and we must speak truth here: bitterness is a poison that defiles many (Hebrews 12:15). The Lord calls us to forgive, even as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean excusing their behavior, but releasing the offense to God and allowing Him to judge justly (Romans 12:19). We pray that the Holy Spirit would soften your heart and replace bitterness with His peace, for *"the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17).
You feel overlooked in your workplace, passed over for promotions despite your efforts. This is a painful injustice, and we grieve with you. But the Lord sees your labor and does not forget it (Hebrews 6:10). We are called to work as unto the Lord, not men (Colossians 3:23), trusting that He will exalt us in due time (1 Peter 5:6). If your current workplace is unjust, seek the Lord’s guidance about whether He may be calling you elsewhere. But do not let envy or resentment take root, for *"a heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones"* (Proverbs 14:30).
Your desires for new friendships, a home, financial freedom, and health are not wrong—they are longings that God Himself has placed within you. But we must examine our motives. Are these desires rooted in a hunger for God’s provision, or have they become idols that consume your peace? The Lord promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), but His timing is not always ours. We must trust that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear.
You mentioned monetizing social media, and we must caution you here. While there is nothing inherently wrong with using gifts and platforms for God’s glory, we must guard our hearts against the love of money, which is a root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33). If your focus shifts from glorifying God to chasing worldly success, you will find only emptiness.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their weary heart to You. Lord, You see the pain, the frustration, and the longing for change. We ask that You would rekindle their faith, reminding them that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. Forgive them for the times they have doubted Your goodness, and replace their disappointment with hope in Your promises.
Father, we ask that You would break the chains of bitterness in their heart. Where there is hate, plant Your love. Where there is unforgiveness, pour out Your grace. Help them to see their family through Your eyes and to release the offenses that have weighed them down. Give them the strength to walk in peace, even when others do not.
Lord, we pray for justice in their workplace. If it is Your will, open doors for promotion and recognition. But if not, give them the grace to trust You with their future. Provide for their needs, whether through their current job or another opportunity You have prepared. Let them work as unto You, knowing that their labor is not in vain.
We lift up their desires for friendship, a home, and financial freedom. Align their heart with Yours, that they may seek You above all else. Remove any idols from their life, and help them to trust in Your provision. Give them wisdom in their spending, discipline in their health, and contentment in their current season.
Father, we ask that You would guard their heart from envy, comparison, and the love of money. Let their social media presence, if it is Your will, be a tool for Your glory—not for personal gain. Teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).
Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would draw near to You. Remind them that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. If they have never surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and experience the fullness of life You offer.
We declare over them that this is not the end of their story. You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, renew their hope, and let them taste Your goodness once again. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
