Over the weekend, I broke a crown on my tooth. My dentist office isn’t willing to work with me financially to have the crown fixed. I explained that I’m on medical leave and not getting a full paycheck. I can’t afford the office visit and out-of-pocket expenses right now. Anyway, I called other dental offices around town, and nobody is willing to help. They want me to use a credit card, which I’m not willing to do. It will be two or three months before I can have the crown fixed. I will be very careful in the meantime. Please pray that the tooth will not be damaged any more than it’s already damaged, and it will hold for about three months.
Also, I’m struggling financially. I don’t know how I will pay my rent next month. There’s just not enough money for all my bills.
The good news is my legs are getting stronger. Everyone says they can see an improvement. It’s just a very slow process. It will be months before my legs are back to where they used to be, strength wise.
I also would like to ask for prayer about something that has been on my heart lately. I’m a college graduate, but I haven’t been about to find a job within my degree. I graduated from college about seven years ago but never used my education or degree. My mother died during my last year in college. I wasn’t able to get an internship because I had to care for my mother before her death. She was very ill and needed someone to care for her. Therefore, I don’t have any experience in my field. Every place that I’ve applied for a job requires experience even at entry level. Also, I’m already getting up in age. I will be 50 years old in a few years. I would like to use my college degree in some way, shape or form. It doesn’t have to be in the field in which I graduated. It can be another field that just requires a college degree. I know years ago a person could get a job in almost any field with a college degree. I know it’s probably harder to get a job where there are on the job training, college level pay and good benefits.
It will be a while before I can start looking for another job. I need my medical benefits right now, and I have to get my health back on track first. But, I’m feeling emotionally better, stronger. I believe I will be able to go to interviews with a positive attitude. I’m asking that you will start praying about this, and God will guide me to the perfect job.
Lastly, a dear friend and I had a disagreement. I haven’t heard from him, and I miss him very much. I check my email everyday hoping I will hear from him. It saddens me that he’s willing to end our friendship. He also has ongoing health issues with his back and legs. Please pray for his health and well-being… and our friendship, if God’s willing.
