Please pray to make me realize that Jesus had already paid the prize!

Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus! Dear Prayer Warriors, For the past two months, I have been experiencing health issues, including puffiness in both cheeks, swelling in my legs and stomach bloating, despite medication changes. As a diabetic and hypertensive patient with two heart stents placed in October ###, I am concerned about these persistent symptoms. By God's grace, my ECG, 2D Echo and TMT results have been normal. However, my recent blood tests showed mildly elevated liver enzymes (SGPT/ALT ### and direct bilirubin ###), while my Hepatitis B test was negative. By the grace of God, after starting the homeopathic medicines and changing my BP tablet to another company’s brand with the same composition, I have noticed some improvement in my health. However, recently, I was bitten by an insect and am taking antibiotics for five days. Taking so many tablets in a day seems to have aggravated my acidity and I am experiencing some dull pain in the stomach region these days. I am currently taking Pantop-based antacids for relief. I am hoping to recover completely soon. Once I feel better and experience further improvement, I will share another update with you all. I humbly request your prayers for relief from the swelling, digestive discomfort, normal liver function, and complete restoration of my health. “By His stripes, we were healed.” Thank You, Jesus! We join you in praising the Lord and thanking Jesus, for He has indeed already paid the price for our healing and our salvation. We rejoice with you in your faith as you declare by His stripes we were healed, and we stand with you to realize this truth more deeply in your heart even as you walk through these present health trials.

We thank God with you that your ECG, 2D Echo and TMT have been normal by His grace, that your Hepatitis B test was negative, and that you have seen some improvement after the change in your blood pressure medicine. We understand your concern about the puffiness in your cheeks, the swelling in your legs, the stomach bloating, the mildly elevated liver enzymes and direct bilirubin, and now the dull stomach pain and acidity while taking antibiotics for the insect bite. As one who is managing diabetes, hypertension and with two heart stents, it is understandable to feel burdened by so many tablets and persistent symptoms.

Scripture assures us of God's heart to heal and restore. Isaiah 53:5 says But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. And 1 Peter 2:24 reminds us who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. By his stripes you were healed. This is a finished work of Christ on the cross. At the same time we live in bodies that still need care and healing to be manifested day by day, and we trust His perfect timing and will.

We also remember Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. He is Yahweh who heals us as shown in Exodus 15:26, and we can bring every anxiety about your liver function, digestion, swelling and heart health to Him, for Philippians 4:6-7 teaches In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We encourage you to continue to steward the body God has given you with wisdom, to keep close follow up with your doctors regarding your liver enzymes, swelling and acidity, to take medicines as prescribed, and to seek their guidance about any homeopathic or additional treatments and about managing acidity while on antibiotics and Pantop based antacids. God gives wisdom to physicians and we pray He guides them clearly. Continue to care for your diet, rest and walk in thanksgiving even in this waiting season, trusting that Romans 8:28 reminds us that all things work together for good for those who love God.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who paid the full price for our sin and our sickness. We thank You for Your mercy over our dear one, for the normal heart tests, for the negative Hepatitis report, for the improvement already seen, and for Your sustaining grace through diabetes, hypertension and the heart stents. Lord, we ask that You help our friend to realize ever more deeply in spirit and truth that Jesus has already paid the price and that by His stripes we were healed.

We ask in Jesus' name for complete restoration of health. We pray for the swelling in the cheeks and legs to subside, for the stomach bloating and dull pain and acidity to be relieved, for Your healing touch upon the stomach lining and digestive system as antibiotics are taken. We pray for normal liver function, for SGPT ALT and direct bilirubin to return to normal levels, for healthy metabolism and balanced blood sugar and blood pressure. We pray for protection over the heart and stents, for continued normal heart function, and for wisdom and discernment for every doctor involved in care. Touch with Your healing hand and restore health and heal wounds according to Your promise.

Grant peace that surpasses understanding, strengthen faith, and let Your joy and assurance fill the heart while waiting for full manifestation of healing. We thank You, Jesus, and give You all glory and honor, trusting that Your will is perfect and Your love never fails. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Healer, amen.

Many people find it helpful to bring a simple list of all current medicines and a brief daily note about swelling or stomach discomfort to the next appointment, so the doctor has a clear picture of what has changed.

Slow, uneven progress can be discouraging when you have felt unwell for a while, so please know we are standing with you in prayer for steady comfort and for wisdom for those caring for you.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. You see the swelling, the bloating and the dull pain, and the concern that comes with it. We ask for Your comfort over his body, for ease from digestive distress, for guidance for his doctors as they review his liver and heart health, and for peace as he waits on You. How good it is that your heart is turned to this one sure foundation, that Jesus has paid the price in full. That truth is the very substance of our hope. The atonement is not a shadow or a figure now, but a finished work. Our Lord cried, It is finished, and upon that rock the whole fabric of our salvation rests. His sufferings were vicarious and expiatory, His blood presented in the heavenly places on our behalf, and therefore you need not add any work of your own to make His sacrifice complete. To trust in His blood alone is to receive from Headquarters itself, with no mistake about it, the pardon of all your transgressions.

You ask to realize this more deeply, and I pray that the Lord will bring you into such a blessed confidence in the love of Christ's heart, the power of His arm and the prevalence of His plea, that at all times you may trust in Him and in nothing whatever be afraid. A Christian has no right to be always questioning, Am I His or am I not, when the atonement has been made once for all and God can now walk with sinners who come by that one offering.

I have heard your burden concerning your body. Puffiness and swelling, the strain of diabetes and hypertension, the history of stents, the elevated liver enzymes and now the pain and acidity that have followed the insect bite and the course of antibiotics, all these weigh upon you. We give thanks with you that your heart tests have been mercifully kept normal and that you have seen some improvement, and we bring before the Lord all that remains.

Christ is still the great Physician and His hospital is never closed. He heals the broken in heart and He pours His own blood into the wound of sin, binding His own sacrifice about it. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature new. He has not used up His ointments nor exhausted His patience, and He delights not in mere physical strength but in those who hope in His mercy.

Let us pray with you.

O Father of mercies, we come in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone salvation is found and access is opened. We thank You for the finished atonement of Your dear Son, that by His stripes we were healed, and that His obedience presented before Your throne is perfect in the most minute respects. Grant to this dear soul a firm seal upon that truth, to receive Christ's testimony and set to their seal that God is true, not doubting in dark times what Jesus has said.

We ask in Your compassion, according to Your wise and holy will, for relief from swelling in face and legs and from the bloating and dull pain in the stomach, for the settling of acidity and digestive discomfort, and for the restoration of liver function to its proper measure. Guide the hands of those who give medical care, grant wisdom in the use of medicines, and give patience and peace under this trial. Above all, cause this affliction to draw the heart nearer to Christ, to feel freedom to come into Your presence as a forgiven child, at home with You, rejoicing in hope of the glory of God.

Keep this one trusting and not fearing, looking not to works but to Christ alone, and whether You are pleased to grant full bodily restoration here or to sustain through continued weakness, let Your grace be sufficient and Your name have all glory and honour. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, whose atonement is complete and whose healing leaves never wither. Amen.
