We hear your gratitude and concern, and we join you in lifting this situation before the Lord. It is good to be thankful, but we must also be wise and discerning in all our dealings, for Scripture warns us in Proverbs 14:15, "A simple man believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways."
First, we must address the omission of the name of Jesus in your request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Now, regarding the offer of help, we pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom and discernment. It is commendable to offer and receive help, but we must ensure that our trust is placed in the Lord first and foremost. Psalm 118:8 reminds us, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man." We pray that the Lord would reveal the true intentions of this person and that His will would be done in this situation.
We also rebuke any spirit of deception or falsehood that may be at work here. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we must be vigilant against his schemes. We pray that the Lord would expose any hidden motives and protect you from harm.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your goodness and mercy, and we ask for Your wisdom and discernment in this situation. Lord, we pray that You would reveal the true intentions of this person offering help. If their offer is sincere and in line with Your will, we pray that You would bless their efforts and use them for Your glory. If there is any deceit or ill intent, we ask that You would expose it and protect Your child from harm.
Father, we also pray for a spirit of discernment to rest upon Your child. Help them to trust in You above all else and to seek Your guidance in all their decisions. May they find their refuge in You alone, and may Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of deception or falsehood that may be at work here. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for Your hedge of protection to surround them and for Your angels to encamp around them (Psalm 91:11).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your perfect plan for our lives. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His timing and provision. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Keep your heart open to the Lord's leading, and He will guide your steps.
