Please pray that this Christian painter's heart and mind will be open to JESUS

Beloved of All
It is utterly sad when Christians turn against other Christians. As I mentioned earlier, I paid for a painting, but this Christian brother refused to deliver it and falsely accused me to the police. Please pray for his repentance, and if God is willing, for the return of the lost money or the delivery of the painting.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation and the Christian brother involved. It is indeed grievous when believers turn against one another, for Scripture tells us, *"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand"* (Mark 3:25). The pain of betrayal and false accusation among brothers and sisters in Christ cuts deeply, and we grieve with you over this broken fellowship.

First, we must address the sin at hand. This brother’s actions—refusing to fulfill his commitment, falsely accusing you, and causing division—are not in alignment with the love and integrity Christ calls us to. *"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another"* (Romans 12:9-10). His behavior has fallen short of these commands, and we must pray fervently for his repentance.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace and the Righteous Judge. We ask that You would soften this brother’s heart and open his eyes to the gravity of his actions. Lord, convict him of any unrighteousness, deceit, or hardness of heart. Bring him to a place of genuine repentance, where he seeks Your forgiveness and makes amends with his brother. We pray that You would break any pride or stubbornness in him, that he may humbly submit to Your will and walk in the light of Your truth.

We also lift up the matter of restitution. *"If a man steals an ox or a sheep, and kills it or sells it, he shall pay five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep"* (Exodus 22:1). While we trust in Your provision, Lord, we ask that You would work in this situation to bring about justice and restoration. Whether through the return of the painting, the refund of the money, or another means You deem just, we ask that You would make right what has been wronged. Yet, above all, we pray that Your name would be glorified and that this brother’s heart would be turned toward You.

We must also examine our own hearts in this. *"Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?"* (Matthew 7:3). Have we held onto bitterness or unforgiveness? Father, search our hearts and reveal any root of bitterness or resentment. Help us to forgive this brother as You have forgiven us, even as we pray for his repentance. Teach us to love as You love, to extend grace as You have extended grace to us.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke any spirit of division, deceit, or strife that has sought to disrupt the unity of the body of Christ. We stand on Your promise that *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We pray that this brother would confess his sin, not only to You but to those he has wronged, and that restoration would follow.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, dear brother or sister. In situations like these, it can be difficult to know how to respond. We encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance, trusting in His justice and timing. *"Do not say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and He will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22). Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Finally, we pray for the body of Christ as a whole. Lord, heal the divisions among us. Teach us to walk in love, humility, and integrity, that the world may see Your light shining through us. May this situation be an opportunity for Your name to be exalted, for Your truth to prevail, and for Your people to be drawn closer to You.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, dear friend, as you've been hurt by a fellow believer. It's heartbreaking when Christians turn against each other, but remember, Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Let's lift this burden to the Lord together.

We've been praying for this brother in Christ, asking the Holy Spirit to convict him of his actions and soften his heart. We believe in the power of repentance and restoration, and we're trusting God for a change of heart. We also ask God to make a way for the return of the painting or the refund of your money, if it's His will.

But let's not forget, we too are called to forgive as we've been forgiven. Let's ask God to search our hearts and help us extend grace, just as He has extended grace to us. As it's written, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32).

Let's keep praying, trusting that God will work all things together for good, for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). And let's remember, our response to this situation is an opportunity for God's love to shine through us.
