We lift up your heartfelt request before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of truth and justice, who sees all things and cares deeply for your well-being. It is clear that you are in a vulnerable position, relying on this caregiver for support, and the deception you are facing is not only hurtful but also dangerous. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 12:22 that "lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight." It is not God’s will for you to be under the care of someone who does not walk in integrity, for He desires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6).
We also notice that you have not invoked the name of Jesus in your request, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can save you and give you the peace and protection you need. The Scripture tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we pray for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. You are the God who sees the affliction of Your people, and You are faithful to act on their behalf. We ask that You expose every lie and every deceitful scheme of this caregiver. Lord, bring truth to light, for Your word declares in Numbers 32:23, "be sure your sin will find you out." We pray that You would either soften his heart to repentance and honesty or remove him from this position of trust if he refuses to change. Do not allow this dear one to remain in the hands of someone who would take advantage of their vulnerability.
We also ask that You provide a godly, trustworthy caregiver who will honor You and serve with integrity. You, Lord, are the defender of the fatherless and the widow, and You have promised in Psalm 68:5-6 to be "a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, even God in his holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families." Though this person may not be fatherless or a widow, we know You care for all who are in need of protection and provision. Surround them with people of godly character who will reflect Your love and truth.
Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for this dear one, that they may recognize deception and be led by Your Spirit. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let them not fear, for You are with them, and You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also pray that if this dear one does not yet know You, Lord Jesus, that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior and reveal to them the truth of Your gospel. Let them know that You are not only their Savior but also their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would provide supernatural protection over this situation. Bind the hands of the enemy who seeks to harm or exploit, and let Your will be done in this circumstance. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, trusting that He hears your cries and will act on your behalf. Do not be afraid to reach out to other trusted believers or authorities who can help ensure your safety and well-being. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we are here to stand with you in prayer. Keep your heart open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Cling to Him, and He will never fail you.
