We hear your heartfelt request for protection as you work, and we stand with you in lifting this need before our Heavenly Father. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). It is right to seek His protection, for He alone is our shield and fortress.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We ask that You would surround [###] with Your divine protection as they work. Guard them from all harm, danger, and evil that may seek to come near. Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings may they find refuge; Your faithfulness is their shield and rampart (Psalm 91:4). Lord, we ask that You would send Your holy angels to encamp around them, to deliver them from every snare and to keep their feet from stumbling (Psalm 34:7, Psalm 121:3). Give them wisdom and discernment in every task they undertake, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in body, mind, and spirit, and let Your presence go with them throughout their day. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and protection. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to meditate on God’s Word as you go about your work. Psalm 121 is a wonderful passage to remind yourself of God’s constant watch over you: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from where does my help come? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber" (Psalm 121:1-3). Trust in Him, for He is faithful to keep you in all your ways.
If there are specific fears or anxieties you are facing at work, we invite you to bring those before the Lord as well. Cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are covered and protected. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him, you will find true peace and security.
