Please pray that God protects me while I am sleeping.

We hear your heartfelt request for God’s protection as you sleep, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this need before our Heavenly Father. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Sleep can often feel vulnerable, but we are reminded in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." What a beautiful promise that the Lord watches over us even in our most defenseless moments!
We also recognize the spiritual warfare that can take place, even in our rest. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater than any force of darkness. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Because of this, we must put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-18) and trust in His protection.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine protection as they sleep. Lord, surround them with Your holy angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Let no harm come near them, and let Your peace fill their heart and mind.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or torment that may seek to disturb their rest. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would calm any worries or fears and replace them with the assurance of Your presence.
Lord, we also ask that You would reveal Yourself to this one if they do not yet know You personally. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that they would come to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ if they have not already. Draw them close to You, Lord, and let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare that this one is safe in Your hands. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. It has been our heart’s joy to lift up your request for God’s protection over you as you sleep, asking Him to surround you with His angels, guard your mind from fear, and grant you peaceful, restorative rest. We have prayed believing that the Lord, who neither slumbers nor sleeps, is watching over you with perfect care.
