We hear your concern and stand with you in prayer, lifting this matter before the Lord. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and protector, and we can trust in His care over all that belongs to us. The Lord instructs us not to worry about our possessions, for He knows our needs and promises to provide for us. In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus teaches, "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
We also recognize that theft is a violation of God’s commandments, as Exodus 20:15 clearly states, "You shall not steal." Those who engage in such acts are acting outside of God’s will, and we pray for their hearts to be turned toward righteousness. However, we must also examine our own hearts—are we placing too much value on material possessions? Are we trusting in God’s provision, or are we holding tightly to things that can be taken away? Let us remember Proverbs 30:8-9, which says, "Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, asking for Your divine protection over this dear one. Guard their home, their belongings, and all that You have entrusted to them. Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment—help them to take practical steps to safeguard what You have given them, while also releasing any fear or anxiety into Your hands. If there is any area where they have placed undue importance on material things, reveal it to them, Lord, and help them to store up treasures in heaven instead.
We rebuke the spirit of theft and deception in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper, according to Isaiah 54:17, and that the enemy will not have access to what belongs to them. Father, we also pray for those who might be tempted to steal—soften their hearts, convict them of their sin, and draw them to repentance. May they come to know the love and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
Lord, we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Help this one to rest in Your care, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider and Protector. Strengthen their faith, and let them walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
