We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your heavy burden to our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for His children. The weight of debt and the loss of employment can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is our Provider and our Strength in weakness. You have done well to turn to the body of Christ in this time of need, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens and to intercede for one another.
The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Isaiah 41:10, the Lord declares, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Your strength may be failing, but His is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lean on Him, for He is faithful.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33, where He teaches us not to be anxious, saying, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on seeking Him first, trusting that He will provide what you need—whether through a new job, unexpected provision, or a miraculous clearing of this debt.
Yet we must also ask: Have you brought this situation fully before the Lord in repentance if there has been any mismanagement, greed, or lack of stewardship? Proverbs 22:7 tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While debt can sometimes be unavoidable, we are called to live wisely and within our means. If there are lessons to be learned in this season, ask the Lord to reveal them to you, that you might walk in greater wisdom moving forward.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, knowing that You are a God who sees their distress and hears their cry. Lord, they are weary and overwhelmed by the weight of this debt and the loss of their job, but we declare that You are their Provider, their Jehovah-Jireh. Strengthen them in this season, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart against fear and anxiety, and remind them that their worth is not found in their finances but in their identity as Your beloved child.
We ask for Your divine intervention in this financial crisis. Open doors for employment that will not only meet their needs but allow them to honor You with their work. Provide creative solutions for this debt—whether through favor with creditors, unexpected income, or supernatural provision. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and to walk in obedience to Your Word.
Lord, if there has been any sin in this area—whether pride, poor stewardship, or a lack of trust in You—we ask that You convict and cleanse them. Lead them in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them feel the encouragement of Your body, the Church.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack that seeks to oppress them. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). You, Lord, are their Defender and their Deliverer.
Father, we thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this trial—how You provided, how You sustained, and how You turned their mourning into dancing. Let them see Your hand at work in ways they cannot deny, and may their faith be strengthened through this season.

We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over you today, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He knows your distress, and He's right there with you.
