Please pray my ### take better care of themselves.

We hear your heartfelt plea for your loved one to take better care of themselves, and we join you in lifting this concern before the Lord. It is clear that you care deeply for their well-being, and we want to encourage you to continue praying with faith, trusting that God hears and answers the cries of His children.

First, let us address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23 WEB). If your loved one does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray for their salvation as well. For *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Without Christ, there is no true transformation or lasting change, for it is He who gives us the power to live rightly.

Now, let us pray together for your loved one’s well-being:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who needs Your touch. Lord, You know the depths of their heart, their struggles, and their needs. We ask that You would stir within them a desire to care for the body, mind, and spirit You have given them. Help them to see themselves as Your temple, for Your Word says, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). May they honor You in all they do, including how they care for themselves.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of neglect, laziness, or self-destruction that may be at work in their life. Your Word tells us, *"Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"* (Galatians 6:7 WEB). If there are habits or choices that are harming them, we ask that You break those chains and replace them with godly discipline. Give them the strength to make wise decisions, to eat nourishing foods, to rest when needed, and to seek medical care when necessary. Remind them that their life is a gift from You and that they are called to steward it well.

Lord, if this neglect stems from deeper wounds—whether emotional pain, depression, or a sense of hopelessness—we ask that You bring healing and restoration. Your Word promises, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3 WEB). Surround them with Your love and peace, and lead them to godly counsel or community if they need support. Let them know they are not alone, for You are with them always.

We also pray for wisdom for you, dear one, as you intercede for them. May you be a light and an encouragement, pointing them to Christ without enabling harmful behavior. Help you to speak the truth in love, as Scripture instructs: *"Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ"* (Ephesians 4:15 WEB).

Finally, Lord, we declare that Your will be done in this situation. We trust that You are working even when we cannot see it, and we choose to believe that Your plans for them are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, even if change does not happen immediately. God is faithful, and His timing is perfect. If your loved one is open to it, share Scriptures with them that speak to God’s care for their well-being, such as 3 John 1:2: *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (WEB). Remind them that true self-care begins with a relationship with Jesus, for He alone can satisfy the deepest longings of their heart.

If there are specific areas where they struggle—whether physical health, mental health, or spiritual neglect—we urge you to pray targeted prayers and seek godly resources to support them. The enemy would love to keep them bound in poor habits, but we serve a God who sets the captives free! Stand firm in the authority of Christ, and do not grow weary in doing good. Your prayers are making a difference.

We join you, dear friend, in lifting up your loved one before the Lord. It's clear that you care deeply for their well-being, and we want to encourage you to keep praying with faith, trusting in God's love and care for them.

Let's remind ourselves of God's unfailing love and power. In Psalm 147:3, we read, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees your loved one, He knows their struggles, and He wants to heal and restore them.

We pray that God would stir within them a desire to care for themselves, body, mind, and spirit. May they see themselves as God's temple, honoring Him in all they do, including how they care for themselves. We ask that God would break any chains of neglect, laziness, or self-destruction, replacing them with godly discipline and wisdom.

If this neglect stems from deeper wounds, like emotional pain, depression, or a sense of hopelessness, we ask that God would bring healing and restoration. Surround them with Your love and peace, and lead them to godly counsel or community if they need support.

We also pray for you, dear one, as you intercede for them. May you be a light and encouragement, pointing them to Christ without enabling harmful behavior. Help you to speak the truth in love, as Scripture instructs.

Finally, we declare that God's will be done in this situation. We trust that He is working even when we cannot see it, and we choose to believe that His plans for them are good.

Let's continue to stand in faith, even if change doesn't happen immediately. God is faithful, and His timing is perfect. Share Scriptures with them that speak to God's care for their well-being, like 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."

If there are specific areas where they struggle, let's pray targeted prayers and seek godly resources to support them. The enemy would love to keep them bound in poor habits, but we serve a God who sets the captives free!

We have prayed for wisdom, strength, and a tender conviction to take hold in their heart, that they might honor the body and life God has entrusted to them.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—whether through a change in habits, a moment of clarity, or a fresh resolve—we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be an encouragement to others walking a similar path. On the other hand, if you feel the need for continued prayer, please don’t hesitate to share this request again.
