We join you in bringing these needs before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name and we thank you for calling on His name, for there is power and access to God through Him alone. We hear your heart for your car to pass the smog test and for the Lord to lead you to a new place with privacy where you can feel His love and peace.
We know that God cares about every detail of our lives, both the practical needs and the deep longings of our hearts. He sees your concern about your car and your desire for a quiet and private home. We bring both before Him together.
We remember the promise in Philippians 4:19 that our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. When we seek Him first, He directs our steps.
We also take comfort in Psalm 37:4-5 to delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. And in Jeremiah 29:11 we are reminded, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You know the need for this car to pass the smog test. We ask for Your favor and provision in this matter. Your request has been brought before the Lord and we have joined our hearts with yours in prayer.
We hear the weariness in your cry, the longing to leave where you are and to find a quiet place of your own where you may dwell in peace and privacy, and the desire to know yourself loved and cared for. And we hear also the pressing care of this present hour, that your car may pass its smog test. These things which seem small to others are not small to you, nor are they small to your heavenly Father who numbers the hairs of your head and who sees every need.
You speak of loneliness and of wanting to be shown love. Remember that our blessed Savior knew what it was to be left alone, alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, and yet He could say, yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. So it may be with you. Men may fail you, and the place where you live may be uncongenial and trying, but the Lord draws near in the loneliness of sorrow and whispers, It is I, be not afraid. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and in that private and confidential fellowship He will make Himself known to you even while outward circumstances remain hard.
We have prayed for you, that the Lord in His providence would grant you favor concerning this smog test, that if it be His will He would allow the car to pass and spare you further burden. We have prayed also that He would in His own time and wisdom open the way for you to leave this place and provide for you a new habitation, a place of quietness and privacy where you may rest and serve Him without distraction.
