But the Word of God tells us that we should also ask for the forgiveness of those who we have wronged. If we do so with a sincere heart, we not only please God, by obeying His Word, but we also free ourselves from the weight of the transgression.  If we confess and ask for forgiveness from God & man, we can have peace in our hearts.
