We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up your sorrow and asking for His healing touch. The loss you feel is real, and the grief is heavy, but we know that God sees you, hears you, and longs to comfort you in this season. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this pain—God is with you, even in the tears and sleepless nights.
First, we must address the nature of the relationship you mentioned. If this was a romantic connection outside of marriage, we want to gently remind you that God’s design for intimacy is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman ( Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4). If there was any sin involved—whether in the form of emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage—we encourage you to bring that before the Lord in repentance. Confession and turning away from sin is the first step toward true healing. 1 John 1:9 says, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* God’s grace is greater than any mistake, and His forgiveness is complete.
We also want to rebuke the spirit of despair that has taken hold of you. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in this cycle of grief, but we declare that this is not your portion. Jesus came so that you might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). Your worth is not defined by this relationship or its outcome—it is defined by the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14). You are deeply loved by Him, and He has a future and a hope for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
We must also address the fact that your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the foundation of all healing, and it is the first step toward true peace.

Isolation will only deepen the pain, but fellowship with other believers will bring healing and encouragement. Proverbs 13:20 says, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* Surround yourself with people who will point you to Jesus and remind you of His promises.
Lastly, consider fasting from the memories and the "what ifs." The enemy would love to keep you trapped in the past, but God is calling you forward. Philippians 3:13-14 says, *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."* Let go of what was, and press on toward what God has for you.
