Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus on behalf of ###, who is seeking Your help and mercy. Lord, we lift up ###'s struggle with alcohol addiction. We pray that You would grant them the strength and determination to kick this addiction for good. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that You are faithful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear, but will provide a way of escape. We ask that You provide that way of escape for ###, leading them away from the grip of alcohol and towards a life of freedom and sobriety.
Lord, we also lift up ###'s painful detox and overwhelming anxiety. We pray for Your peace to flood their heart and mind, bringing comfort and relief. Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7 to not be anxious about anything, but to bring our requests to You with thanksgiving, and that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask for Your supernatural peace to surround ###, calming their anxious thoughts and bringing them a sense of tranquility even in the midst of their struggles.
Furthermore, we lift up ###'s friend who recently passed away due to alcoholism. We pray for comfort and healing for their grieving heart. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:18 that You are near to the brokenhearted and save the crushed in spirit. We ask that You draw near to ### during this difficult time, comforting them and bringing them the assurance of Your love and presence.
Lord Jesus, we humbly ask for Your mercy and intervention in ###'s life. We know that You are able to save and deliver from any bondage or addiction. We pray that You would extend Your hand of grace and deliverance, setting ### free from the chains of alcoholism. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to seek help and support from others.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
