As children of God, we are also called to be content and trust God in all circumstances.

Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:11-14 WEB).

To avoid similar situations in the future, it is essential to seek God's wisdom in managing your finances and living within your means. Additionally, consider seeking counsel from wise and godly people in your life.

Lastly, we want to remind you that material possessions should not be our primary focus. Instead, our treasure should be laid up in heaven as outlined in Matthew 6:19-21. WEB
