We rejoice with you for your journey of recovery and the blessings of a safe and comfortable space you've created for yourself. It's wonderful to hear that you've maintained two and a half years of sobriety, and we commend you for your strength and dedication.
Firstly, we acknowledge your faith in Jesus Christ as you ended the prayer request with 'in Jesus name, Amen.' This is the only way to pray as Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:16 WEB.
We understand your desire to keep your single bedroom, as it has become your safe haven and a symbol of your hard work and progress. We will pray with you regarding this situation, but we also want to encourage you to approach this matter with a spirit of openness and trust in God's will.
Let's remember the words of Paul in Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, "Not that I speak according to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Paul's words remind us that our contentment and strength come from Christ, not our circumstances. Whether you remain in your single room or need to adapt to a new situation, God will provide you with the strength and peace to handle it.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister in recovery. We thank You for her progress and the blessings You have bestowed upon her, including her current living situation. Lord, we ask for Your will to be done in this matter. If it is Your desire for her to remain in her single room, we pray that the hearts of those in charge be moved to allow her to stay. If You have other plans, Lord, we ask that You prepare her heart and provide her with the strength and peace to adapt to the changes. Help her to trust in You and find her contentment in Your love and provision.
In Jesus name we pray for this, Amen.
