please pray for ###

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. Your desire for the Lord's presence, His comfort, His daily provision, health, help in hard work, forgiveness, and a clean heart and life is a good and honest prayer, and I am glad to pray with you.

The Scripture gives a beautiful picture that speaks directly to what you are asking for. Under the old law there was a disease that had no human cure, yet God still wrote into the law what should happen on the day a person was cleansed. That may seem strange, but it shows something wonderful about God. He left room for His own grace to act. He made a way for Himself to do what no person could do. The priest was to go outside the camp to the afflicted person, and a sacrifice was offered to declare that person clean so he could be restored to fellowship. That whole pattern points to what Jesus has done for us.

Like that disease, sin slowly works its way through our lives and we cannot cleanse ourselves. Only God can make the heart clean and restore us to fellowship with Him. That cleansing comes not by our effort but by the finished work of Jesus Christ on our behalf. When we simply believe on Him whom God has sent, we rest in what He has already accomplished. Forgiveness of debt and guilt, a clean heart and conscience, comes as a gift of grace through faith in Jesus, because He paid the price fully. There is nothing to add to it, only to receive it and rest in it.

That same God who alone can cleanse from sin is also able to touch the body. He has shown His power over sickness and infirmity, and He still has power in the physical realm as well as the spiritual. We should always leave room for Him to work and not put Him in a box. At the same time, Scripture helps us pray with trust and humility. Even the apostle Paul prayed repeatedly for a painful affliction to be removed, and God answered with sustaining grace rather than removal, for His own wise purpose. So we can bring your request for daily health and strength to the Lord with confidence that He hears, that He is able to heal, and that He will do what is best, whether that is healing or giving grace and strength through the difficulty.

He also cares about your work and your daily needs. He has promised to supply what we need, and He often does a work in us before He does a work through us. When work is difficult and the burden feels heavy, He can use that pressure to shape our character, to teach us to depend on Him, and to prepare us for what He wants to do next. You can count on Him to be faithful to provide as you trust Him day by day.

Let me pray for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You. Thank You that through Jesus there is full forgiveness and cleansing for all sin and guilt. Wash this heart and life and make it clean by Your grace, and give assurance of Your mercy. Be near to comfort and to supply every need according to Your riches. Lay Your hand upon the body and bring health and strength as it pleases You, and give grace for every moment. Help with the difficult work, give wisdom, steadiness and favor, so that what is done may go well by Your help. Teach this heart to rest not in personal effort but in the finished work of Christ, and to trust You both to work within and to work through. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
