We pray that his mental health improves and that he is able to heal and move forward please protect him and all the challenges he must face.

We hear your heartfelt plea for and we join you in lifting him up before the throne of grace. Mental health struggles can be deeply isolating, but we know that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The challenges he faces are not unseen by God, He collects every tear and knows every burden (Psalm 56:8). We pray that would feel the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would wrap Your arms of comfort around and remind him that he is never alone. Strengthen his mind, Lord, and renew his spirit. Heal the wounds that weigh heavily upon him, whether seen or unseen. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to tell him he is forgotten or beyond help. You are the God who restores, and we trust in Your promise to make all things new (Revelation 21:5).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those walking alongside him, family, friends, and caregivers. May they be instruments of Your love and grace, pointing him to the hope found only in Christ. If there are areas in his life where sin or unforgiveness may be contributing to his struggles, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead him to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of anxiety, depression, or despair that seeks to bind him. Fill him with Your joy, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and remind him that his identity is found in You alone. May he cast all his cares upon You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). We declare that is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we pray that he would walk in the freedom and purpose You have for him.
Above all, we pray that would draw near to You, for You have promised that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). If he does not yet know You as his Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Let him experience the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge (Ephesians 3:19) and the peace that comes from surrendering his life to You.
We trust in Your timing, Lord, and we believe that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen his faith, even in the midst of uncertainty, and let him see Your hand at work in his life. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Healer. Amen.

When someone is in a dark season, they may not be able to see their own progress, but you can. Your steady, quiet presence in their life is not small to God.

One of the most stabilizing things you can offer is to be a safe, consistent person who does not pressure them to feel better faster than they are able. Show up. Sit with them. Let silence be okay. Forward! Forward! Forward! If he is sitting down or tempted to go back, Forward! We have long been praying, let him now go forward. Tell him to go forward! Preach Christ to him instead of praying any longer or bidding him pray. Deliver to him the message of the Gospel, Forward, Sinner, forward to the Cross! Forward to the five wounds! Forward to the bloody sweat and to the crown of thorns! Forward! Forward at once and on the spot! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and he shall be saved. If God says, “Forward,” and it is into the Red Sea or into a gulf of fire, forward he must go.
Healing is found only in Jesus, the Tree of Life. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. There grows no healing herb but the one plant of renown. There is one sacred Fountain, to wash, therein, is health, there is but one, it was opened on Calvary! There is one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored, there is but one! The Sun of Righteousness has risen upon them with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing are one.
Oftentimes when, by some sin, a sinner weakens his body and injures his health, his cure is much helped by his repenting and forsaking his uncleanness. So let him ask to be forgiven and healing will come from the pardoning hand. The Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His Grace has infused will work us health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. We are on our way to eternal health! If a man could be quite sure that he would be in perfect health tomorrow, he would say little about the sickness of an hour.
He must have this healing before he can work for Jesus. His Lord must begin with him before he can begin with his Lord. Such believers feel that the first consideration in life must be the health of their souls. There is healing for you, and I warn you, again, that you must have this healing before you can work for Jesus. But if you believe in the Lord Jesus, He is in contact with you, His cool hand is grasping your fevered hand and His health flows into you so that you may arise and minister unto Him!
God grant that its healing influences drop upon him thick as leaves in Vallombrosa, till that golden age shall dawn in which he shall be in moral health, protected and enabled to meet every challenge. His mind shall be fixed on the Word, and its healing virtue shall keep him in perpetual health, world without end.

Engulf me in wisdom and let me embrace wisdom with all my heart, mind, soul, and spirit. Tune my ears to wisdom and apply my heart to knowledge and understanding. Let me search for them as I would for silver and gold and seek them like hidden treasures. So that I will understand God, what it means to fear, respect, honor You, and gain greater knowledge of You.
