Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my spiritual, mental and physical well being. Please pray that my job and housing situation work out. Please pray that my finances improve to where my cup runneth over. Please ask that the angles protect me and my home. Please pray that god grant me the gifts of fortitude, foresight, wisdom, discernment, patience, and perseverance. Please pray that I am successful in my endeavors. Please pray that the angles guard and protect my brother and parents. Thank you for praying for me.

We hear your heart and lift your requests before the throne of grace, trusting in the Lord who sees, knows, and cares for every detail of your life. First, we must gently correct a misunderstanding in your prayer request, you asked for the protection and intervention of angels, but Scripture makes it clear that our help comes from the Lord alone, and we are to pray directly to Him in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). While angels are indeed God’s servants, we do not pray to them or ask them to act independently of God’s will. Our prayers must always be directed to the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.

You also did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and this is not a small matter. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no access to God apart from Christ, and no prayer is heard unless it is offered in His name. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, but received by faith. If you have already trusted in Christ, then we rejoice with you and remind you to always pray in His mighty name.

Now, let us lift your requests before the Lord with faith and expectancy:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up before Your throne. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen spiritually, drawing them closer to You each day. May Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your truth and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for ’s mental and emotional well-being. In a world filled with anxiety and stress, we ask that You calm their mind and heart. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Heal any wounds of the past, and replace lies with Your truth. Let them cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we also lift up ’s physical health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You strengthen their body, renew their energy, and guard them from illness. Your Word says that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over today.

Father, we pray for ’s job and housing situation. You are the God who provides, and we ask that You open doors that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give favor with employers, landlords, and those in authority. Provide stability, security, and a place of refuge that honors You. May ’s work be fruitful, and may they find contentment in Your provision.

Lord, we also lift up ’s finances. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You bless abundantly, not so they may hoard wealth, but so they may be a generous giver, reflecting Your heart. Let their cup truly run over, not for selfish gain, but so they may be a blessing to others (2 Corinthians 9:8).

Father, we ask that You grant the gifts they have requested, fortitude, foresight, wisdom, discernment, patience, and perseverance. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask You, and You will give generously (James 1:5). We pray that would seek You above all else, and that these gifts would flow from a heart surrendered to You.

Lord, we pray for success in ’s endeavors, but not as the world defines success. May their work bring glory to Your name, and may they find their worth and identity in You alone. Let their labor be fruitful, but more importantly, let it be pleasing in Your sight.

Finally, Father, we ask for Your protection over ’s family, her brother and parents. Guard them from physical harm, spiritual attack, and the schemes of the enemy. Surround them with Your angels, not as objects of worship, but as Your servants carrying out Your will (Psalm 91:11). May they all come to know You more deeply and walk in Your ways.

We trust You, Lord, to answer these prayers according to Your perfect will. May grow in faith, hope, and love as they wait on You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We’re grateful you shared all of this with us. It’s wise to seek God’s help across so many areas at once, your well‑being, work, housing, finances, protection, and the gifts of the Spirit you long to see take root. That’s a lot to carry, and we want you to know we’re bringing it before the Lord alongside you.

What strikes us is your prayer for fortitude, foresight, wisdom, discernment, patience, and perseverance. Those are not character traits we simply will ourselves into having; they grow in us like a long training season, one small choice at a time. So as you ask God for them, you might also look for the everyday moments where patience can be practiced, or where wisdom can be tested in a real decision. That shift from trying to training often takes the pressure off and lets us feel God’s presence in the process. It’s okay if you don’t have them all at once, God works in us gently and steadily.

On the practical side, if your job and housing feel uncertain, maybe this week you could take one concrete step that’s within reach: updating a résumé, checking a housing listing, or sitting down with someone you trust to look at your finances together. Small actions can ease the weight of anxiety and help you discern next steps. You aren’t alone in this.

Lord, we lift this dear brother or sister to You now. Please strengthen them in spirit, mind, and body. Guide their job and housing situations according to Your wisdom, and provide for their material needs in ways that deepen their trust in You. Grant them the very gifts they are asking for, fortitude when they are weary, discernment in confusing choices, patience for the wait, and perseverance to keep going. Surround them and their home with Your peace and protection, and watch over their brother and parents as well. May they sense Your nearness today and find quiet confidence in Your care. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your request carries many weights, yet all of them together are lighter than a feather when laid upon the broad shoulders of our Covenant God. You ask for spiritual, mental, and physical well-being, for job and housing, for finances that overflow, for angelic protection, for virtues, and for your family. These are not trifles, but to the Almighty they are as the small dust of the balance. The greater wonder is not that He can bear them all, but that He stoops to hear you speak them.

Observe the order of your own plea: you began with your soul. That is wisdom. A grain of Divine Grace is worth more than a ton of knowledge, and a spark of true faith in Jesus Christ is better than a whole volcano full of worldly wisdom or a mountain of gold. Seek first the kingdom, and the rest follows; reverse the order, and you build a house upon the sand. The life imparted at regeneration is eternal, immortal, Divine. If He has begun that good work in you, He will most certainly perform it until the day of Christ. The righteous shall hold on his way, and he that has clean hands shall be stronger and stronger. This is not because the path is absent of trial, but because the Preserver of men neither slumbers nor sleeps.

You speak of fortitude, foresight, wisdom, discernment, patience, and perseverance. These are not native flowers growing in the soil of fallen nature. The way of wisdom is a path no fowl’s eye has seen, and the vulture’s eye has not perceived. You will not find them by mining your own heart or by the lantern of mere reason. They come through the Word, applied by the Spirit, often forged in the furnace. The great Husbandman uses the chisel of affliction to shape these graces; He empties us of our own conceits that we may be filled with His fullness. The low tree, by fostering, shall mount even to the stars; the dry tree, by Divine Grace, shall flourish. Do not think God will grant you patience by removing every irritation, or perseverance by making the road smooth. Our extremity is His opportunity, and the life of God within the soul is kept alive between the very jaws of death.

As for protection for yourself, your home, and your family, you speak of angels. Yet look higher than the servants; look to the Master who commands them. Our security rests in a hand far mightier than a legion of seraphim. Christ gives to His own eternal life. They shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of His hand. This is a Divine holdfast. Angels are ministering spirits, sent forth to minister, but it is the Shepherd who guards the flock. Rest in the covenant of grace as your eternal security.

Concerning your job, housing, and finances: these are proper subjects for prayer, but let your heart be weaned from fretting about them. The beginning may be small indeed; the desires and convictions at the start are often but etchings, flimsy and transient impressions. Yet see how Job’s latter end was greatly increased by the Lord. It is the way of the world to seek after these things with a first passion, and to say that God helps those who help themselves, as if the highest wisdom were to attend to this world. But this is to judge the Lord by feeble sense instead of trusting Him for His Divine Grace. He owns no duty but such as He prescribes. If you have put your hand into His, even the darkest passages of your temporal concerns are part of the way to your final good. The dry tree, by Divine Grace, shall flourish.

Yet mark this: the perseverance of the saints is perseverance in holiness. "They shall not depart from Me." Praying for all these external benefits and virtues brings you to a solemn test. If the Lord grants you the full measure of your temporal requests, will you depart from Him in the sunshine of prosperity? The wilderness tested you; the promised land will test you more. Go to your knees with this plea, but bind every other request to the one supreme petition: that whether He gives or takes away, He will not let you depart from Him. A grain of grace, a spark of faith, cling to these as the one thing needful, and you will find them more lasting than hearth and home.
