We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation at work where deceit and false accusations are being used to cause harm. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 6:16-19, "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." It is clear that God despises dishonesty and those who seek to bring strife and false witness against others.
We rebuke, in the name of Jesus, every lying tongue and every wicked scheme being devised to bring trouble where there is innocence. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 tells us, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, trusting that God will expose the truth and bring justice in His perfect timing.
Father, we ask You to give wisdom and discernment to those in authority at work. Let Your light shine in the darkness so that the truth may be revealed. Protect this dear one from the stress and anxiety that comes from false accusations. Fill their heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also pray for those who are engaging in this deceit. Lord, soften their hearts and open their eyes to the harm they are causing. Lead them to repentance so that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness. Proverbs 10:9 says, "He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out." We trust that You will bring their actions to light.
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw this person closer to You. Let them find their strength and refuge in You alone. Remind them that You are their defender and that You see every injustice. Psalm 37:5-6 encourages us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."
