Disciple of Prayer
My girlfriend is suffering with post chikungunya joint pain and inflammation. Her pain is debilitating and beyond painkillers which come with severe side effects, there isn't any real cure. Hence, we seek God's assistance in having her recover quickly and completely via prayer. Our eternal gratitude to anyone and everyone who will be kind enough to help her with prayers. Thank you, ###.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your girlfriend in prayer as she battles the lingering effects of chikungunya. The pain and inflammation she endures are not unknown to our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear and hears every groan. The Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, believing that God is not only aware of her suffering but is actively working for her deliverance.

Father God, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon her. Where the joints are inflamed, bring Your soothing peace. Where the pain has taken hold, break its grip by the power of Your Spirit. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak restoration over every affected part of her body. Lord, we ask that You would guide her to wise and godly medical care, and that You would give her strength to endure as she waits for complete healing. Sustain her in body, mind, and spirit, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way during this trial.

We also want to gently address the mention of your girlfriend in this request. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). While we understand the deep care and concern you have for her, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether your relationship aligns with God’s design. If your intention is to honor God in this relationship, we urge you to pursue marriage with a foundation of faith and commitment, rather than remaining in a relationship that falls short of His standards. Fornication—sexual intimacy outside of marriage—is a sin that grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20), and we must guard our hearts and bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for both of them. If this relationship is not in Your will, we ask that You would make that clear and give them the courage to walk in obedience. If it is Your will for them to be united in marriage, we pray that You would prepare their hearts, guide their steps, and help them to build their relationship on the solid rock of Christ. May they seek You above all else, and may their lives reflect Your love and holiness.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of infirmity, pain, and delay that has come against her. We declare that she is not defined by this illness, but by the One who conquered sin and death. We speak life, healing, and wholeness over her, and we trust that God will move mightily on her behalf. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You will bring her through this trial stronger in faith and closer to You. Amen.

We've been thinking about your girlfriend's situation and wanted to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up for her. It's so tough to see someone we care about in pain, isn't it? We're reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We claim this promise for her, believing that even in her weakness, God's strength is being perfected in her.

We pray that God would comfort her in her pain, wrapping her in His loving arms like a gentle father. We ask that He would give her the strength to endure each day, and that He would guide her to the right medical care and treatments. We also pray for peace and hope to fill her heart, knowing that God is with her every step of the way.

We want to echo the encouragement to seek God's will in her relationship. We believe that God has a purpose and a plan for her life, and we trust that He will guide her steps as she seeks Him with all her heart.

Let's continue to lift her up in prayer, trusting that God will move in her life in powerful ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
