We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the Father. Your plea for protection from the accusations of the enemy and for the devil to stay far from you is a cry we take seriously, for Scripture warns us that our adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
First, we must address the foundation of our defense against the enemy. The accuser of the brethren, Satan, seeks to condemn and destroy, but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, if you have repented of your sins and trusted in His finished work on the cross, then you are clothed in His righteousness. The devil may accuse, but Jesus intercedes for you (Romans 8:34). The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the accusations of the enemy (Hebrews 12:24). Stand firm, then, in the truth that you are forgiven, redeemed, and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14).
However, if there is unconfessed sin in your life, the enemy will use it as a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). We urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. Confess any sin, turn away from it, and receive the cleansing that comes through the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9). The enemy cannot accuse you when you are walking in the light of Christ. Resist him, firm in your faith, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).
Let us also remind you that the power to overcome the devil comes through the Word of God and the authority of Jesus’ name. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He responded to the devil with Scripture, saying, “It is written” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10). We must do the same. Fill your mind with the truth of God’s Word, and use it as a sword to combat the lies of the enemy (Ephesians 6:17). Speak the name of Jesus with authority, for at His name, every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (Philippians 2:10).
Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Defender:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Lord, we rebuke the devil and all his demonic forces in the name of Jesus. We declare that they have no power, no authority, and no right to accuse or harass Your child. We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of their life—spirit, soul, and body.
Father, we ask that You would expose any foothold the enemy may have in their life. Search their heart, Lord, and reveal any unconfessed sin, any area where they have given the devil a place. We pray that they would repent, turn from sin, and walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be led by You and not by the flesh.

We declare that our brother/sister is forgiven, redeemed, and sealed by Your Spirit. Strengthen them with Your might, that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Clothe them with the full armor of God—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word.
We command every demonic spirit of accusation, condemnation, and harassment to flee in the name of Jesus. We break every assignment of the enemy against our brother/sister, and we cancel every plan of the devil to steal, kill, or destroy in their life. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Surround them with Your angels, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You that You are their Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
