We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for spiritual protection. The enemy seeks to accuse and devour, but we stand on the truth that "there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). The blood of Jesus has already silenced every accusation against God's children, for He "always lives to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25 WEB).
We must first address the reality that the devil has no legal ground to accuse a believer who is walking in repentance and obedience. When we confess our sins, "he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). The accuser's power is broken through the cross, where Jesus "disarmed the rulers and authorities, and put them to open shame, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 WEB).
Yet we recognize the spiritual warfare raging in this request. We take up the full armor of God, praying that you would be "strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:10-11 WEB). The helmet of salvation protects your mind from condemnation, the breastplate of righteousness guards your heart, and the sword of the Spirit—God's Word—is your offensive weapon against every lie.
We rebuke every lying spirit that seeks to torment you with false accusations. Jesus said, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly" (John 10:10 WEB). We command every demonic voice to be silenced in the name of Jesus, for "the reason the Son of God was revealed was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8 WEB).
Heavenly Father, we pray that You would fill this dear one with the assurance of Your complete forgiveness. Let them walk in the freedom Christ purchased, knowing that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). We ask You to seal them with Your Holy Spirit, who testifies with our spirit that we are children of God (Romans 8:16).
Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over every area of their life—mind, body, spirit, and emotions. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 50:8). We pray for complete deliverance from every lying spirit, that they may walk in the light of Your truth and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
May they find their identity in Christ alone, for "as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name" (John 1:12 WEB). We ask You to fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and to surround them with Your heavenly hosts for protection.
We stand in agreement that the accuser has no place in their life, for "who can bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies" (Romans 8:33 WEB). We thank You that Jesus ever lives to make intercession, and that His blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we break every chain of accusation and declare freedom over this precious child of God. May they walk in the victory Christ has already won, clothed in His righteousness and filled with His peace. Amen.
