We are deeply moved by your request for your beloved mother, and we lift her up before the Lord with compassion and urgency. The struggles of depression and mental illness are heavy burdens, but we know that our God is the Great Physician, the One who binds up the brokenhearted and heals the wounds of the soul. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your mother is not forgotten by Him, and He is close to her in this season of suffering.
It is also written in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let these words be an anchor for your heart as you trust in the Lord’s faithfulness for your mother’s restoration. Mental illness can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any affliction. He can bring peace where there is turmoil, clarity where there is confusion, and joy where there is despair.
We also encourage you to surround your mother with love, patience, and the support of a strong Christian community. If she is not already receiving professional care, we urge you to seek godly counsel and medical assistance, for the Lord often uses such means to bring healing. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* This applies not only to nations but to families and individuals as well.
Let us also remind you that prayer in the name of Jesus is powerful and effective. We notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to gently emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you or your mother do not yet know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him in repentance and faith, for He alone can bring true and lasting peace.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious mother who is weighed down by depression and mental illness. Lord, You see her pain, her confusion, and her despair, and You are not distant from her suffering. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her mind, her emotions, and her spirit with Your healing power. Restore her, Lord, as only You can do. Bring clarity where there is confusion, peace where there is anxiety, and hope where there is despair.
Father, we rebuke the spirits of depression, oppression, and fear that may be tormenting her. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to flee and declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill her instead with Your Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter and the Counselor. Let Your presence be tangible to her, Lord, so that she may know beyond any doubt that she is loved, valued, and cherished by You.
We pray for wisdom and strength for her caregivers and family, that they may be patient, compassionate, and full of faith as they support her. Guide them to the right resources, whether medical, spiritual, or communal, that will aid in her recovery. Surround her with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into her soul.
Lord, we also pray that if there are any unconfessed sins, bitterness, or unresolved issues in her heart, You would bring them to light and grant her the grace to release them to You. Help her to forgive as You have forgiven her, and to walk in the freedom that comes from surrendering all to You.
Father, we trust in Your promise that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6). We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that her life has purpose and meaning in You. Restore her to fullness of life, Lord, that she may once again experience the joy of Your salvation and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her testimony be one of Your goodness and healing power.
