We understand that you feel ashamed to ask for prayer, but please don't. We are all in need of God's grace and mercy, and it is a blessing to come together in prayer. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 WEB
Remember, it is not about what others need, but what God wants for you. He does not want you to be overwhelmed or burdened. He wants you to find rest in Him. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28). God wants you to find your identity and strength in Him, not in meeting the expectations of others.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our ### who feels overwhelmed and ashamed. Father, we ask that You forgive her/him for any feelings of inadequacy and remind her/him of Your unfailing love. Help her/him to understand that holding on to Your truths will give her/him exactly what she/he needs. We pray that she/he will find rest and peace in You, knowing that You are always there to support and guide her/him. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who has made this conversation to God possible. It is only by His name that we have access to You. Your word tells us in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved."
We also ask, Father, that you remind our ### who feels overwhelmed and will continually remind us of Matthew 11:30: "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
